I don't know quite where I'd put this so I'll just put it up here. Recently I finished a Metal Gear Peace Walker music video and thought the people here might enjoy it =) So...hope ya enjoy.
As I say in the description of the video I've got mixed feelings about the game itself. Real nice and fun and all, but all that stupid AI sh*t, Otacon's dad instead of Madnar, Metal Gears before the TX-55, and so on just completel ruin it.

Very well put together!
MPW was the first Kojima Metal Gear game I didn't get into. I tried, but it just felt empty. The cast was weak, no real emotion in the game, boss fights frustrating unless you really level up your weapons, and on a PSP in 2010... Why? It just felt weak.

Well for the difficulty I'm pretty sure that's mainly cause it's meant to be played as a co-op game.
For me the first "downer" game would have to be MGS4. Just...well, everyone's said all the problems all over the internet by now. I'd like to think it's just cause MGS3 was so good that everything after is dull to me, but it really isn't well-put together after 3. After 3 it's just "oh, we'll put this into the game because this is what Metal Gear is, right?".

The boss battles here were so f...ckING awesome, needless to say MG Rex v Ray was really one of a kind since that had NEVER ever been done before in the series!

Well, my main issues are mainly just the story (though 4 totally shoulda been more stealth-based in my opinion).

Are you kidding? I thought the Boss fights were pretty dull. Just shoot until the life gauge is depleted. No puzzle element, no epicness really. Previous Boss fights were much more clever. No comparison to the likes of The End, Psycho Mantis or even Vulcan Raven. With the exception of the Metal Gear fight (Epic!), Liquid Ocelot and maybe Crying Wolf (great atmosphere. Now THAT is a blizzard!).
My downer was also MGS4. It's not bad, but after act 2 the gameplay just sucks and the game loses the openess of the first two acts. And the story that tries to force everything from the past three games together into one cohesive whole and cheesy moments like the wedding, the Meryl/ Johnny proposal, Emo-Raiden, Comic Book Ocelot, amd some overdone melodrama for melodrama's sake was really tedious at times. With Peace Walker, I had no expectations really and it completely disarmed me. For some reason, I really enjoyed it, probably because it has a similar lighthearted tone as MGS3 and an ultimately hard-hitting punchline. Plus the gameplay was really great on a PSP and Motherbase was extremely engaging for me. It's really sad that so few people can appreciate the game, especially since the reasons why they don't always seem so circumstantial.

I wonder why the f...ck Kojima would somehow transfer a console-centric game to the PSP. Given the fact that you have lesser buttons than the PS3 or Xbox, how the blazing f...ck could he use a portable console for MGS?!? Peace Walker was indeed one of the few titles that I just can't get into, even though you can capture enemy vehicles and remove the AI from bosses to create/ improve your own Metal Gear.

I think that the biggest issue with MGS4 is that it didn't have a very strong identity of its own. Being the series finale it spent a lot of time recreating the previous games. While that works as a tribute to the fans that stuck with the series for 10 years, it's relatively weak on its own. It has very strong moments, some of the best in the series, but as a whole package the story is disjointed. Gameplay is also very inconsistent, mostly because the PS3 was to weak to execute his original vision of an interactive world. We got the war zone gameplay in act 1 and some in act 2, but after that it was completely gone.
While previous games were strong on their own with a unique feel, MGS4 struggled between developing its own identity while paying tribute to past titles.

I never thought this would come, but on this, I completely agree with you, A.G.

Miracles do happen!
MGS4 was a mixed bag. It had a lot of great moments and ideas. But they just weren't able to stitch the story together smoothly. I always felt that if they kept things a little simpler it would've worked better. Too much reliance on nanomachines. If you can't explain something without resorting to nanomachines, then let it be. Nothing wrong with a little mystery. I don't know how The Fear ran on water, and I don't care.

I think the fun parts of MGS4 were having to figure how the blazing f...ck you defeat Vamp, and later on Screaming Mantis. Like I also mentioned, the REX v RAY fight was one of a kind, as was Crying Wolf (you do have a sniper duel with The End, but not in a f...cking blizzard, and certainly not with squads of enemy troops backing up the main boss)
