MGS1 was arguably the best title on the PSone. In most places that did the top PSone games, it was first or in some instances in the top 3. But no worse.
This year will be the last one for the PS2, as the PS3 era will begin sometime next year. This time next summer, the PS2 will be a thing of the past.
So what do you think? Will MGS3 go down as the best on the PS2, much as MGS1 did for the PSone?

I think MGS3 is the best but other games like GTA have a larger fan base so that would probly win so i voted no.

Yeah, but I think that in that situation games a compared in terms of quality, not fan base quantaty. There were games more popular than MGS.
But in terms of graphics and overall presentation I don't recall anything close to MGS3.

God of War has got to be the best game on the PS2 next to Snake Eater.

Definately will be a game I will always come back to, no matter how advanced the graphics get in the following years.

As of now, it is. But just cause PS3 is just around the corner, does not mean PS2 is dead. It's just a matter of time before they come up with a better game on the PS2. But like I said, right now, it's the best of the best.
