I thought it would be a good idea, to make a huge timeline and story elements together on the forums to see what theories and truths we can get from it on the game and maybe some hints on what mgs4 is goin to be mostly about...(except the patriots) So who wants to start?

June 6, 1945 - Cobra Unit sent in to start Operation: Pathfindre before the D-Day invasion. During the mission, The Boss gave birth to Ocelot.
1960 - NSA Codebreakers ADAM and EVA defect to the Soviet Union.
1964 - CIA opritve Jack Miller goes into Tselinoyarsk to rescue Dr. Sokolov. However, due to the suprise defection of The Boss, he must go back a week later, this time with a large mission. He completes it, and is given the title of Big Boss.
1970 - Major Zero disbands the Fox unit.
1971 - Big Boss forms a new force to preform covert missions, called Unit FOX-HOUND.
1972 - The three clones of Big Boss are created in a top secert experiment, code named the Les Efrants Terrieb (check spelling) project.

Time Laps

1995 - Unit FOX-HOUND sends in Grey Fox, it's hights member, into the military nation of Outer Heaven to destroy a new weapon. However, due to his capture, they send in rookie Solid Snake to save him, and destroy the Metal Gear TX-55. He completes his mission, before finding out that the head of FOX-HOUND is also the leader of Outer Heaven.
December 24, 1999 - Snake is pulled out of retirment by Col. Roy Campbell, the current leader of FOX-HOUND. he is sent into to Zanzibar Land to rescue a scientest that has discovered a way to stop the fuel shortage. However, during the mission, he learns that there is another Metal Gear, being controled by Grey Fox and Big Boss. He kills both of them, before leaving for Alaska in hope that FOX-HOUND will never find him again.
Early 2005 - Roy Campbell, who also retiered after Zanzibar Land, is once again sent in to get Soild Snake out of retirement. This time, Unit FOX-HOUND has taken over the nuclear decantamination facility on Shadow Moses island and are threating to launch a nuke if they do not get what they want. Snake relunticly agrees to go in. While there he learns about truths that he does not want to know. He also meets the Roy's neice Meryl, the scientest that made the new Metal Gear REX Hal "Otacon" Emmerich, and his twin brother, Liquid Snake. He stops the threat of Metal Gear, and fights Liquid to the death. He escapes with Meryl, and they drive off into the sunrise together, hoping to start a new life. Little do they know, Ocelot has other plans...
Late 2005 (rough estiment) - Meryl leaves Snake. Later on, Otacon gets the information that the Metal Gear test data got out. He finds Snake drunk in a bar and ask him to join him a group set out to stop Metal Gear, called Philanthropy. Being to drunk to know, he joins. Besides them, Mei Ling, Nastasha Rominko, and possibly Naomi Hunter has also joined.
August 2007 - Otacon gets a letter from "E.E", giving time and location that a new Metal Gear is being moved. He looks into it, and finds it to be true. He sends in Snake, who again runs into more trouble then he wants. Not only has Ocelot survived, but someoen has trough him...Liquid. While trying to stop him, Snake is killed.
April 29, 2009 - FOX-HOUND rookie Snake is sent to the Big Shell, a decomamination facility set up over the same spot that the tanker sank, to resuce the VIP hostages, including the President. However, the mission takes a turn for the worse when everything goes to hell. Now, with the help of "Pliskin" and "Otacon", he must try and disarm bombs, fight a collection of freaks including a witch and a vampire, and a man claiming to be Solid Snake. Of course, it dosen't help once he's been captured.
April 30, 2009 - Raiden is given a shot back into reality with who he really is. He then fights an army of Metal Gear RAY mass-produced units, and then fights the third Snake to the death in a sword battle.
2012 (rough estimate) - Philanthtopy, now consiting of Snake, Raiden, Otacon, and now Meryl, goes out for one last battle with The Patriots in various battlezones around the world, ending in a final battle which will tell the futures and fates of the every soul in the world...

Ocelot retrieves the Legacy along ith the specs for the Bipedal tank "Metal Gear". Naked Snake is awarded the title of Big Boss. 1995 -- The Outer Heaven Incident , Gray Fox is sent in to investigate, and loses contact. Big Boss send the new recruit Solid Snake. He destroys the Metal Gear TX-55, beats Big Boss and rescues Gray Fox. Colonel Roy Campbell becomes the Commander of Fox Hound.
1999 -- Zanzibar Land incident, Solid Snake is sent in to retrieve the creator of OILIX.Snake destroys Metal Gear D, and kills Gray Fox and Big Boss and is told he is the son of Big Boss. Snake goes to alaska for his retirement.
2000 -- Shortly after Solid Snake's retirement, Liquid Snake takes the place of squad leader of unit FoxHound. The Patriots insert there sensor hardware into every computer under giving the US a false impression of the Y2K problem.
2005 -- Solidus Snake uses Revolver Ocelot to make Liquid Snake takeover Shadow Moses to steal Metal Gear Rex. Terrorists take over Shadow Moses Island led by Next Generation Foxhound. Liquid Snake was the leader of this group. Solid Snake is brought out of retirement to stop the threat of a nuclear strike. The FoxHound unit is beaten,Metal Gear REX was completly destroyed. A secret organization retrieves Liquid Snake's body for study. FoxHound is disbanded after the terriorist action. Revolver "Shalashaska" Ocelot retrieves the blue prints of REX, sells on the black market.Snake and Otacon form Philanthropy. Solidus Snake is "forced" to resign from office from the Patriots.
2006 -- Solid Snake rescues Naomi Hunter from prison. Solid Snake and Otacon attack instilations housing Metal Gear variations.
2007 -- August 24th Otacon is given an unknown tip about a new Metal Gear being transported through the Hudson River, the sender was E.E.. U.S.S. Discovery is inflitrated by Solid Snake. and is hijacked by the Gurlukovich raiding unit. Colonel Gurlukovich is killed along with Marine commander Scott Dolph. The U.S.S. Discovery is sunk in the lower New York harbor.The RAY unit is stolen,Solid Snake is annouced dead.
2008 -- The leader of Dead Cell is imprisoned by the Patriots after being framed, later dies in prison.
2009 -- The unit Dead Cell is disbaned.
April 29th -- The Big Shell offshore cleanup facility is taken over by a anti-terrorism squad known as Dead Cell lead by "Solid Snake", along with the Gurlukovich private army lead by Olga Gurlukovich. The FoxHound member Raiden is sent in to stop the terrorists. They take President Johnson and 30 other hostages for randsome. President Johnson was killed by Revolver Ocelot. Vamp, a member of Dead Cell kills Emma Emmerich.
April 30th -- Arsenal Gear makes an emmergency crash landing on Manhattan. Solidus Snake is killed on top of Federal Hall. Snake and Otacon retrieve the Patriots list. Liquid/Ocelot flees with the RAY unit to the Patriots.

The Son of Big Boss, I see you got that all from the manual mostly. this was a timeline that someone compiled to my site, i didnt make it, i only tweaked and added a few things, and for the last time, its not in 2019, if that were the case, why does otacon look no diff then the big shell incident, to many people are reading to much into the X years |

its very unlikely, due to the fact how no different otacon looked in the trailer, he would have been more aged looking in it, its just the appearance of snake makes everyone think X years is 10 years, and for those of us who actually pay attention to the story, its either due to Foxdie or being a clone and the accelerated aging.

I vote on the nanomachines that he was injected with just prior to Shadow Moses. The Patriots could be behind his age, using the nanos to speed up his aging in hope that he will die before finding him.

Why not cause his liver to fail? Shut down his kidneys, the list is endless. If the Patriots were in control of the nanomachines and wanted him dead, he would be. |
