Let me see now:
MG1: Galzburg (Africa)
MG2: Zanzibar (Asia)
MGS: Alaska (N. America)
MGS2: New York (N. America)
MGS3: Russia (Europe)
It seems that the settings have definetly varied all over the place. I wonder what would be a good setting for MGS4?

It seems to me that the setting is somewhere in Asia where it's all war torn.

you can tell its some where middle eastern just by looking at the streets and buildings, maybe some where in india, china etc, and remember all the foreshadowing of Eva in MGS3 about saying China will eventually have nukes and a Shagohod program

The TGS trailer shows Solid Snake in a middle eastern area. So we already know on of the many places Snake will visit.

ive always thought it was china, due to all the foreshadowing in mgs3 by eva "we will get our own nukes and shagohod program" sumthin along those lines
