Wait! The baby in the picture!!!

Man, how could I have overlooked this in the past!!!!
You all remember this picture:


Well, gee, Raiden is holding a baby. So the kid is either his, or Olga's (though I'm sure it's Olga since it's more part of the story). Either way, the game has to take place right after the Big Shell since it is a CHILD! This actually makes some sense, since they say "X years after the Big Shell" Well, in Kojima twisted mind he can still make that X be a 10, just a 2010. This would fit well with the whole Olga's child thing!

Tanker takes place in August of 2007 and Olga is not visibly pregnant. So the kid is born sometime in 2008, I would guess at around April or so. That makes him around 1 during the Big Shell. The kid in the artwork seems to be very young, but not an infant. So the game should be right around the 2010 mark. A 2 year old would be able to fit that description...

Too true. However, we know that Olga's baby is a major factor. Why would Raiden be holding a baby in that pic? Think about it. It has to be either Olga's child or his own. Either way it can't be past 2011.

True, Snake does look old... but... I don't know. But the baby is a major clue, one that can't just be forgotten.

I also believe the baby is Olga's. Anyways, about Snake's age, I dont remember in which interview (i'll try to find it) Hideo says that in the actual game, they will probably make Snake look alot younger than that.

Man, how DID you overlook that!? I've thought about that since I first saw the picture. I'm of the same persuasion, it's got to be Olga's child. And it's true that Kojima could make him a bit younger than we've seen of him so far, just as he's stated in interviews.

It has to be one of the two, Olga's baby, or Rose's baby. I'm guessing it's Olga's baby to, but how can that be when Olga's baby was captured by the Patriots somewhere around 2008?

If MGS4 is to be split into two chapters my guess is that we first see Raiden saving Olga's baby, and after that a chapter with Snake.

Seriously guys, it's way too early too tell. We only have one movie (which I've watched over and over) that was in 05, with no new movies as of yet. Lets just wait until we get something official and then duke it out.

For Snake's old look in the MGS4 trailer, Mr Kojima stated that they wanted to make him look old so they can show the power of PS3. I bet Snake will look much younger in the actuall game.
