I've just heard from an associate of mine who has recently talked to Quinton Flynn, and according to Flynn, Kojima is no longer directing Metal Gear Solid 4. This isn't confirmed. I will try my best to do so.

I seriously doubt that. There'd be news about that. Also, who is Quinton Flynn? Isnt the the voice actor for Raiden? How would he know such thing? And who's this associate of yours?

Yes, Flynn is the voice actor for Raiden. And Flynn knows tons about the project. He's not just reading lines in a studio somewhere in Japan or wherever. He associates with Hayter to a degree (strictly business) and read the script the first-time through in the presence of Kojima himself.
My associate is just a fancy word for a guy I talk to on AIM ;D I call him my associate in this sense because we've both talked to Flynn on his AIM screename and he happened to talk to him the other day when I wasn't online.

Until there is an official word of this, I won't start worring. Now if this is confirmed... well, what a lousy way to end the series.
It should be noted, however, that Kojima is not the only director on the project. He is co-directing with Shuyo Murata. Perhaps Flynn saw him in a director's position in interpreted it as Kojima not directing.
I'm sure that come E3 we will know the facts. Besides, a move like that would make no sense. At E3 2005 the trailer hyped the hell out of the fact that Kojima is directing. Why would that change? Espcially when he now heads Kojima Productions.

Exactly, it would of been spread across the internet. And with all that stuff about him not directing, then the E3 video shown he was, now he isn't directing? That information is wrong, he is directing the full game no question.

I know what he's doing. He's been doing it since MGS2 ended.
He's probably throwing these rumors out there for us MG nerds to have something to discuss. Look, he didn't say he would do MGS3, in the end, he did. But all that time inbetween, there we're us going "MGS3?! I hope Kojima does it."
Welll, he did. He planned out. But then again said he wouldn't direct it. "Kojima not directing MGS3!? Blasphemy!" But in the end, he did.
"It would be cool if he did MGS4!" He is. "Kojima not directing!?" This is where we are now. He's just giving us something to discuss and worry about. Look, in the end, he will direct MGS4. He doesn't trust anyone else with the series.

I woundn't jump to an answer unless someplace like IGN or Gamespot would say so, although we never like those sites in the 1st place.
