There are a few things I still dont get from MGS3, so maybe you guys can help me out. 1. EVA gave those shoes to Granin, that's what he said. The shoes had a transmitter in them. Im asking, what was the point of that? Why did EVA want to know Granin's location? 2. The fight with The Sorrow. Was it real or a dream? 3. Ocelot's hand signs. At first I thought it was his own signature sign, but then we can see both EVA and The Boss doing it. I dont think it's an easter, could be be some kind of sign that agents of the Philosophers use? Im sure I got some more, I just cant remember right now.

1. Not sure what Eva's motivations would be to track the location of Granin.
2. The fight with The Sorrow was something Big Boss experienced when he nearly drowned. At the point in which he meets The Sorrow in the mangrove swamp, he had "crossed over" from the mortal plane and was actually in a state of death or near-death which enabled him to come into contact with The Sorrow. So it did happen, just as an out-of-body experience.
3. I'm going to say Ocelot's hand signs are his signature sign and this is why. Later you can see Eva and The Boss using the same sign, yes, but given that Ocelot is this game's "fall guy" for embarrassments and serves at times as a form of comic relief, this is done as a jest to "mock" him.

1. EVA probably was trying to prevent Granin from making the REX bipedal and destroying the blueprints.
2 and 3 are the same as Ecos.

I really doubt it was something that she did for herself. It was more to make sure that Kruscheve's people knew where to find Granin. Granin did not have anything that she would need to accomplish her mission.

Yeah, but she wasn't working for Kruschev. She was working for China.
