Ideas for a Gray Fox based game.

One of my favorite characters is Gray Fox. Now, I know he doesn't really get a lot of face time in the games. I mean in 1, he was a prisoner. 2, he was a jerk, and Solid, he gets crushed. End of story.

But questions remain. How did he become Fox? What did he do that got him the second highest rank in Foxhound? Where is his backstory? We know more about Raiden then we do Fox.

Would you like a Gray Fox based game? I would. Maybe the story leading up to Outer Heaven, how he met Big Boss, how he started in Fox Hound.

Well, we had a Big Boss game, why not a Gray Fox. I think that he would be a great character to get to know.

There are a few flaws in this though:

1. Another prequal... I don't know how marketable that will be.

2. Gray Fox is a memory of hardcore fans. Most don't know about him in MG and MG2. And they liked him as a Ninja in MGS.

In the end, I don't see them doing something like that. It just looks like something that would a mini-game for hardcore fans only. Besides, Fox fighting a Metal Gear... Just doesn't sound right.

It's that comic thing that Hideo is doing with Frank Miller. The name might have changed by now, but it was mentioned on HK's blog a while ago.

Oh, the PSP graphic novel. But didn't they mention another MGS game, not Acid and not a comic, for the PSP?

Yeah I heard about something like that AG hopefully its true. Also about the Gray Fox game, yes it would be great and it wouldnt have to be neccesarily on Gray Fox fighting a Metal Gear but it wouldnt work anyway because Hideo said he'd refuse to make a game on any other character besaides Snake and Raiden.

Funny you should bring this up, because a mod at my forum is developing a Gray Fox oriented fanfic of his early life. Not game but still related. But I woud'nt mind if they made a BD comic or something, but a game? I dont know, maybe a "In the darkness of Fox Hound" sort of newpaper print of the timeline leading from Tselinoyarsk to the first years of Fox Hound.

He hardcore took out most of the MG in MGS1.

Fox fighting a MG is badass. As for the market value comment, I agree. Having a stand alone Grey Fox game wouldn't do well.

That would be pretty boring. I havent beaten any of the MG games, but what are his skills like before the Genome experiments?

Well put it this way.
He is the only soilder in FOXHOUND to get the ranking FOX.
Which is the highest ranking you can get.

I would love to see a MG game of fox's life from when he joins foxhound to when he dies.
It would be mad because you get to play him in 3D in Outer Heaven and Zanzibar land and you get to play him in Shadow Moses. All in one game thats a pritty sweet deal.
