Been deleted. Great.....
And no i wasnt editing my account or anything like that i came on today and couldnt log in, so i clicked on forget password but it said my e-mail was not in use and tryed my username but that wasnt in use either.
And i dont have any passwords for any accounts in my e-mail adress or lying around anywere its all in my memory! So there is no way they could of seen my password at all! They must either now how the knlowage on how to hack pro boards OR they have someone on the inside.
I propose we set up a plan!! And guys lets not have impunity because thinking "it will never happen to me" is just stupid, I now realise that.
And may i add, i have done nothing to them so if you havnt done anything to them either be extremly carefull.
Lets do somthing and lets do it fast!

What exactly do you propose that we do?
Have you tried contacting Proboards? There's really not much I can do. If someone is hacking accounts then we're basically at their mercy. I have no power to stop them. Look, if I know who the problem is I can ban them. But that's where my athority ends. There are ways around banning, there are ways to hack... I can't stop that.

Well maybe Pro-boards is the problem?? Who knows. I just dont think that we can just sit here and let it happen to everyone of us one by one.

Again I ask, what do you suggest we do?
I am a member on the WrestlingFigs forum and they never have problems like that.
What do you want to do, switch forums again? I did that in 2003, you really think MGF got a strong enough following right now to start a fresh forum? I don't see it that way.
Perhaps ProBoards is responsible, but we won't know unless you guys, the ones that have these problems, go and ask.
The funny thing is, most of you already know that starting a new forum would be risky, MGF could potentiall just die in the process. Yet everytime a problem like that occurs, that's what's offered or at least hinted at.
I don't know what's going on, but I would think if hacking was the case, they would not bother with the small fish. Why not go after the moderator accounts or even better the administrator account. They don't have any more protection then the regular accounts. I just don't accept that. If someone goes through the trouble of hacking, why not go after accounts that can make a difference?

Well, one way would be to get another forum host with better security. Of course, that means losing everything here.
huge sidenote: whoever created that app which changes the IP number should be damned to hell.

I dont want to sound like a dickhead but last time i checked you were admin, and i thought as admin you would do somthing about the problem. Do you think a member has power to make proboards do anything??? no but the admin does.
Well i dont think we have much of a choice. Most of us are back now and besides you can mass e-mail the members so even the guys who join to read know that were moving.
Thats what i thought at first but know i understand. By them getting us the members there killing the heart of the forum slowly taking it down. And they only target high posters Eg. Black snake, G2, Dumpster and me all of us had at least over 1500 posts (sorry if i didnt mention others its just all i could think of).
Easily explained ok. I re regestured with my same e-mail adn user name. Which intrgrated my old posts into my new account.

No, but you can email the source yourself too you know. I own a FREE board! Proboards dont' care about what I have to say. And I don't understand why any of you don't want to email them yourself? What's so hard about that? Those are your accounts that are lost.
And you talk about getting a new board, what makes you think that one won't be hacked?
That doesn't make much sense. That would mean that you basically got your account back then...

OK, here's my final say on this:
1. Unless a moderator account or my account are hacked, I will not switch forums. Simple as that.
2. I will not be emailing Proboards about this. The only way I will do that, is if people who had their accounts deleted will take the initiative and email the company. If they need me to cooperate in anyway, I will do so. But I will not send a "hey Proboards, members are deleted on my forum, can you help me?" email. It is far easier to address that problem with an individual account rather than with a whole message board. When you guys start on that, I will join in.
3. Something strage is going on. Too many unexplained mysteries. People that I've disagreed with suddenly get their accounts deleted and blame it on hacking or proboards. Too many hints towards getting a new board, as opposed to finding out the problem. Too much of the "No, I won't try to contact Proboards to find out the problem with my account, let's just have AG take the risk and start a new board."
I don't trust this situation one bit. The fact is, if there is hacking, then there is no garantee that a new board will do any better. However, I still bring up the issue of why not target mod and admin accounts and actually do damage to the board? That, in my book, questions the hacking theory. A glitch in the board? Perhaps, but again, why hasn't in happened to some of the others here? No account here is more secure than the other.
Who was deleted thus far, can someone provide a complete list of these incidents?

I will not name the source, but I did get this private message:
Again, we have more and more pieces of the puzzle.

This is a rather large puzzle.
I will e-mail proboards and talk to them but i too want a list of all members who have been hacked and/or deleted and if more than once, how many times.
Ive created a Topic in general discussion which hacked members can post the information we want in there.
If you are a member who when they log into MGF choose to stay logged in even after they close their web browser, i suggest you dont do that and make sure you log yourself in and out everytime your on MGF thats the only advise i can give you.
There planing to kill MGF and not by hacking AG and deleting the forum by its source but by deleting member by member.
Dont let them win and dont be afraid to voice out your concern keeping quiet wont help!!

To be perfectly honest, that's what scares me the most. We don't really know if it's an outside source, like [creepy little bastard]. It could be someone from within....

Well, when Black Snake was trying to come back, he emailed me because he could not log in. I looked into it and could not find his account. Now I do remember that on his first run he had over 1500 posts. So that right there shows something. But why would his account get deleted when he hasnt' been around for a few months?
