Thats awesome for someone to have that kind of skill. All we need now is the DNA form him, clone him, used gene therapy to make a soldier that can outsmart armed forces or another unique person in a hi-tech special force unit

He's not really smart, we're just dumb. A normal human being only uses about 10% of the brain. So... yeah...
And who knows, maybe he's only book smart. Someone like that could solve a methematical divisioin to the 22,500 decimal and learn a new language in a week but probably couldn't figure out how to open a car door.

Not really, unlike other autistics, he doesnt have any disabilities. He lives a pretty normal life so I doubt he cant do normal stuff like other people.

I was just being humorous. Reality is, the rest of us are just so freaking unevolved that when you see someone who actually uses more than the basic 10% of the brain it seems amazing. He's not amazing, it's just the human race is not anywhere near it's potential.

Doesnt that make him amazing though, the fact that he's at a level the rest of the humans arent?

I guess from our persepective, yes. But from a logical perspective it just makes him less retarded than the rest.
Think of humanity as a giant Special Ed class. He's just the guy that can pass out the crackers without getting all confused. Guess that's pretty special given the perspective.

He's not really smart, we're just dumb. A normal human being only uses about 10% of the brain. So... yeah... This is a misconception that's been perpetuated on uncertain evidence. Definitely not true, though, so everyone knows. Humans use pretty much all of their brain, but science has been unable to explain how exactly the human brain works sometimes, so areas that seem to not be 'used' are still serving a purpose, but it's uncertain what the purpose is, that's all. Geniuses often live bad lives. Here's a cool site where you can read about the lives of geniuses, including one of the most fascinating 'geniuses' I've read about, William James Sidis: www.prometheussociety.org/articles/Outsiders.html

Who says? If they can't fully explain how the brain works then it doesn't really make it a fact that we use all of it properly, now does it. Your own proof contradicts your point of view as much as mine. The fact that there are people that can do that shows certain elements that the majority clearly lacks.

It all depends on your genetic makeup which parts of the brain you will use more then others, I doubt we use 10% of our brain like most people think I believe we use a much bigger percentage if not 100% itself it just depends on how developed those areas are. I know I am no genius with an IQ of 200 but I am damn well smart. I mean come on now 10% pfftt and since some people cant use their entire brain capacity the parts of the brain that do function for them are then augmented to make it seem like whoa this guy is super smart, no its just that the mind concentrates on bringing up those levels in that area of the brain, that is all really. Oh i'll use myself as an example....Im not that great at math...why? because I dont apply myself back in school I had this mental block on myself thinking I wasnt good at math...no that wasnt the case I had to find some kind of inspiration something that could motivate me, well when I did try I would sure as hell impress myself I could ace tests if I only TRIED. Now with history, literature, and social science (History for those who dont know ) I am and damnit I will brag about this I am DAMN good, I can tell you just about anything about history, need a history, english, even linguist study partner, believe me I am the man. And I like to brag about how I have the 20th century down almost perfectly because I Am big into politics and I like to recognize our recent history for the reasons on why we are going through the sh*t we are now in our world.....so there we go some people are just better at somethings and some people are better at other things as simple as that. Oh one more thing I will point out ive met some exceptionally intelligent people and I am at awe at the knowledge they posses....but they cant type for this and I mean at the speed is what I mean they have to stare at the keyboard and they press one letter at a time, me though I have no problem I might give the keyboard a trillionth of a second look and im on it even now I am typing exceptionally fast and some people here at the library are staring at me. So there another example

Well, when you have people that can come up with the concept of atomic power, learn a language in a week, calculate math like a computer, create archtectural wonders, or draw a perfect map of a city after only a couple hour flight over it.... that means that we DO use only a small part of our brains.
And dude, you just proved to me that you haven't worked retail. If you did, you would have no doubt about the 10% part. TRUST ME!
Oh, and don't be so proud of your keyboard speed. That's nothing but training your brain, that's all. When I first started using the keybard I was doing the one-button at a time thing too. Now I'm rather fast. Nothing special, but fast enough, and with minimal errors most of the time. And all that is, is repetition, nothing more. It doesn't mean you are smart or exceptional. Now if you were typing at that speed 10 minutes after touching your very first keyboard, then yeah. But you didn't.

Blah, so what about this guy? He can do math in is head, whoopdie doo. My father can do complex math in his head, and he doesn't need to be special.
A wis man once said "You ever notice that everyone going ahead of you is a psychopath, and everyone behind you is a dumbass?"

Please don't compare math skills of your father to this guy, ok. Get real! Your dad is smart, very smart, but he is not a "genious" level.
