Alright, you guys, this is incredible. You've probably seen videos of Honda's Asimo robot and how life-like its movements are. Now this thing is a whole other step in that direction. BigDog is a simulated quadruped robot that was created by Boston Dynamics with a $10 million grant from DARPA. Just watch how this thing reacts to its surroundings! gizmodo.com/368651/new-video-of-bigdog-quadruped-robot-is-so-stunning-its-spookyOnce they're able to eliminate that noise it makes, this thing will be just like Crying Wolf from the upcoming MGS4. This thing is amazing how lifelike it really is, I mean, I sort of felt the same type of sympathy for it when they tried to kick it over as I would for a living animal!

Holy sh*t. It creeped me out a bit at times. This is great though thanks for the link and a vid to it TMJ.....I bet you by 2014 we'll see something similar to that of the Gekkou, the movements for that robot were incredible...and ofcourse the sound it makes but its just the engine, not like the Gekkou that uses a bull's cry for psychological purposes against the enemy....but still I cant shake it off man..its really eerie.

I don't know if this is a step up from Asimo, but it is following the same suit. Asimo has many traits that help deal with real life applications, it can greet, preform various tasks, hold a simple conversation and has the ability to jog, walk and climb stairs all without the help of a controller. This robot is amazing though, and reaction time is uncanny.
BTW I'm new at posting been coming here for awhile though.
