The 19th anniversary of the Metal Gear series is today. Contrary to some other sources that claimed it to be on July 7th. Today MG is 19yo. 1987-2006.

The Metal Gear Solid PlayStation manual does state that the release of the first game was the 7th. However, 2 other books that came after it that profiled the series (Metal Gear Solid Naked and Countdown to MGS3) state that it was the 12th.

I guess if we try all the search engines out there, we could find it? I though this question got answered by us on the MG VG threads section.
