Well the PS3 shortages could serve as a reason to do so. The question is will it work. Once again, I have to point out MGS2 and the Xbox port. It simply did not work. The game was made for the PS2 and simply did not function properly, not to mention looked choppy, on the Xbox. On top of everything, the PS2 version of Substance was more complete.
This could happen again with MGS4. If it's made fo the PS3 it may not work as well on the 360, plus you may miss out of new features, things that perhaps can't be converted to the 360 engine.
I personally don't care. The game will look better on the PS3 anyway. My only concerned are the extras.

I personally don't care. The game will look better on the PS3 anyway. Looks like you havent been keeping up with the news; so far, the PS3 is inferior to the 360 when it comes to graphics. Of course, thats because developers have had the 360 for much longer to, so PS3 developers havent found the PS3's "true" power yet. But I doubt Hideo will use the PS3's capabilities to their max in his first game. My point? I dont think MGS4 would look better on the PS3 than on the 360. |

Regardless of anything, I still will prefer MGS4 on the PS3. Metal Gear and PlayStation go hand-in-hand. And those who don't like the PS3 or don't wanna get it, those should not be playing MGS4. And I stand by that.

This is MGS2 all over again!!!
That was the official word. So what does that mean, MGS4 is exclusive to the PS3 for a year... well guess what, so was MGS2, but only the original game.
I'm sure that Sony already sealed the rights to the game Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots. But in a year time that won't matter since we always get an expanded version of the original game. So just like Sons of Liberty was exclusive to the PS2, Guns of the Patriots will be exclusive tot he PS3. However, MGS2 Substance was multi-platform and so will be MGS4 Sub-something.

Actually I'm not upset about it. It's something they've done in the past so it's hardly a shock that they would do it again.
I would still prefer that the Xbox doesn't get Metal Gear, as they already got a big ego about being the "the best" with their Halo. My only gripe will be if 360 get's features the PS3 does not. As for visuals, I'm still positive that the PS3 version will look and play better. Don't forget the conrollers, remember how annoying the Xbox Substance was in terms of controls!?

anyways...I think it's just to get the avg $ or Yen on Metal Gear abit higher when it goes muilty platform. MGS4 for PS3. Year later it's like MGS2 with the Xbox...then will get a MGS4SE if that's even possable...

I got no problem with the Halo games, I enjoy playing them. But they don't deserve the hype they get though. It's really not that big of an achievement... just a glorified DOOM.

MGS4 on X360 = DISASTER
I hope it NEVER happens.
What i do hope is that the X360 just dies i hate Microsoft so damn much i. (Except for there OS Windows. Yes I'm aware how f...cking ridiculous that sounds) I hope they release a firmware update that bricks every singe X360.
Stupid bastards.
Back to the topic at hand....
IF they do decide to port MGS4 to X360 expect the ugliest incompatible piece of crap that was MGS2 substance(XBOX) only next gen on the X360.
