I wonder if the new characters arent just gonna be normal soldiers, but cameos from other games. Like Raiden, Vamp, etc etc. Of course, they would have nothing to do with the story.

It'll be some useless stuff. I doubt they'll get anything amazing. I mean 12 new ones!? Who can they get?

I'm very curious to find out exactly what characters they are adding. It can't be anyone else from MGS3, the rest are dead. And when you recruit them there is always a little dialog between the Snake or Cambell and the new person. I'm sure Campbell will be playble. But that's all I can think of.

Not really. As being one of the FEW people here who actually played MPO I understand full well the potential of those updates.
The enhancements to the character bios is not really that big of a deal. In the end, you only need a handful of operatives to actually go through the game. And the ones you need have specific qualities. Enhancing that may up the rankings, but in the end is fairly useless.
New characters? Meh... They all have the same exact moveset. At first I was excited about the idea, but after recruiting every possibe character in the game I can tell you that it's really not that great. It's a novelty act is not very practical in terms of gameplay. Most of the secret characters are useless in a sneaking mission. And having the same exact moveset as Snake doesn't really help.
New maps and missions... You gotta remember, this is MPO. Most areas are fairly small and the missions are really not that amazing.
Again, these are nice additions, but nothing to feel bad about missing out. The thing is, Japan is not one to have key features not given to their players. So what does that mean this year? Will there be a re-release of MPO1? Will there be an expanded version of MPO? That's what I'm worried about.

I don't believe PO will get a Sub-version, since PO2 is said to come out this year.
