OK, I just played the demo of this game and I'm liking it. Does anyone have it? If so, is it worth buying? I've read some reviews, not too bad. Seems to be the best PS3-exclusive out there right now.

Aren't you being a bit harsh? Granted I've only played the demo, but from what I've seen and read the game deserves a bit more credit. Several places credit it as the best looking console game out there, not just the best of the PS3. The voice acting seemed very well done IMO and the shooting mechanics of the gameplay are smoth and accurate. Being a Metal Gear neat-freak, even I approved of the action sequences, and that's rare!
Since there aren't many great PS3 games, I think I will pick this up. The jungle setting that I played showed A LOT of detail and the game seems to have a high level of crafsmanship.
Have you played the whole game through, or are you just basing your opinion on reviews you've seen?
Also... as PS3 owner how can I take this comment seriously:
Hmmm... it's the best PS3 exclusive... but as a PS3 owner it's not a "must-purchase"? LOL! Funny!

The voice-acting is pretty standard actually, as the graphics are nice (nothing can beat Lair, which STILL is the best looking game out there, if you ask me). The shooting mechanics smooth and accurate? Perhaps, but the whole thing is ripped off from Gears of Wars, and is done MUCH better in GoW. You approve the action sequences? Well, goody for you. *thumbs up* Well, graphics are a matter of tastes, and always will be. The game's quite pretty in the graphics department (though not the best), so, in that point, I agree. Played and finished it on a friend's house, thank you. Yeah. Because it is RIGHT NOW. Even I know there are better things coming up soon, WAAAY better than Uncharted. Want to buy it right now? Well, go ahead! I won't stop you, it's your money after all. But it's at your own risk.

Umm... so? I have no interest in palying Gears of War. GOW may have done that particula part better, but the setting of Uncharted appeals to me far more. Hell, even the whole concept of Uncharted is taken from Tomb Raider. So what? I fail to see that as a reason not to get a game. By that logic why would anyone play any modern FPS... it's been done before.
True, but more than one place has stated it as the best. It may not be, but it certainly is an indication of good craftsmanship.
That's not very logical. Not to buy a quality game because "better" games will be coming out? That's silly! "Don't buy FF7, MGS is coming soon!" Just because quality material is on the horizon that does not mean this game should be disregarded. And I am talking about "RIGHT NOW", that's where I'm at, right now. I don't live in the what-if's and the could-be's.
Risk? Not for me. I don't buy video games very often, so that's not really a risk. Further more, to buy the game that's been reviewed by many places as the best PS3 title and the best looking console game is hardly what I would classify a "risk". This isn't some shady launch title thrown together last minute. Plus it is an exclusive PS3 game, not a port, so it was made specificially for that system. How you view that as a risk is beyond me. Good games coming soon? Great! I'll look at them when they get here.
Isn't that the dragon game that got crappy reviews? Best looking? You know, it's a lot easier to make dragons, monsters, and armor look good than it is to make normal-looking people. That's why Metal Gear is so amazing. The human motion of MGS2 is still on-par, if not better, than the best we see on the PS3 or the 360.
As for Lair:
GameSpot 4.5/10 IGN 4.9/10 Blast Magazine "1/5" EGM 5.5/10 PSM 5/10 OPSM Australia 5/10 Play 9/10 X-Play 2/5 GamePro 3.75/5 Game Informer 7.25/10 & 8/10 Gametrailers 6/10 Edge 3/10
You and I seem to disagree on just about everything.

LAIR is indeed the best looking PS3 out there, imo, BUT the game itself sucks major butthole.
Reviews dont mean anything really, the only review you should care about is yours. So, if you've played the demo and liked it, then that right there is your own review and you should go for it.

Not that much. We agree in the fact we disagree in everything, In the end, it's your money, Aiijii, not mine, so do what you best see fit with it. Debating about MG is fun and all, but debating about a game you already said you're going to buy is quite pointless, specially since it is one of those game you either care a lot about, or simply don't, we both tried it, and we both picked our side already. Plus, luelax has a point: If you already tried the game and liked it, what are you waiting for? Go buy it. You asked us if it was worth buying, I told you my opinion. Simple.

Okay, first off: Don't listen to Cernex.
Second: I have the game and it is really, really good. If you have money to spend, don't hesitate to buy it.
The voice acting is not "pretty standard actually", as Cernex would like you to believe. It's top of the line.
Why is everyone saying that this and that game is ripping off Gears of War? That game is a complete rip off of kill.switch. And in any case, the cover mechanics in Uncharted are spot on and if you ever encounter a problem, it's your own fault, not the game's. In other words, it's better than Gears in those regards. I have played both BTW, which I highly doubt Cernex has.
The graphics are beautiful and the details are stunning in my opinion.
I've played through the game three times so far and each time I discover new details in how the enemies react to you and how Nathan, the playable character reacts to them. You can unlock a cheat which slows everything down to ultra slow motion, and if you play the game with the cheat activated, you'll see just how amazing the animation really is. Second to none.
The story is different from MGS, but it's very well produced with high production values. It's like a classic pulp action adventure.
I think you should buy it.

How do you unlock the cheat?
Well, I got the game and I beat it. Here is what I think of it:
Uncharted - Review
The Good.
I think that the reviews of the game are very true. It mixes the best of a shooter and an adventure game, and does a dang good job of it. The graphics are amazing, especially the water effects. Nate jumps in the water, comes out WET! The clothing is wet, and then you gradually see it dry. The shooting controls are easy enough to master and are actually rather fun. Walking with the gun forward with the over-the-shoulder view reminded me of MGS4 SO much! Some of the jumping points over cliffs are just breathtaking! My girlfriend was on the edge of her seat during some of the jumps, really got it into it! It helps that we have a 42” flat screen TV! LOL! The story and the humor is very Indiana Jones-like, and that appeals to be greatly! There is a good mix of environments, and the zombie guys were scary! I mean, the dark hallways to get the generator turned on... that was straight out of “I Am Legend”!!! Very freaky! Overall, the presentation, the controls, the graphics, the voice acting, the variety... all top notch! I also felt that putting in the extra galleries and documentaries was a nice touch as far as extras.
The Bad.
The only downside I saw with this game was the shootings got too repetitive at times. I like that they switched between pirates, soldiers, and zombies though. There is also a fairly small replay value as the game is linear. But to me that isn’t really a huge setback, that’s how Metal Gear games are. I still love to replay them. One suggestion would be to perhaps make Sully and Elena playble at some point. Wouldn’t take much, but the parts when they are separated from Nate, you could unlock their stages. Would’ve been nice.
Conclusion.
A great buy! It’s not a mindless shooter. It’s has a lot of humor. The presentation is second to none (well, maybe MGS4, lol). I liked the cast and the setting. I really hope for the sequel! This has “franchise” written all over it. I remember I tried to get into Tomb Raider way back... never ended up liking it though. To me, Uncharted is like Tomb Raider... only good! LOL!

You know, it was a top-notch game. The only thing that was missing was more interaction with the Jungle. There were no animals, nothing. When you look at Snake Eater, now that's a jungle done right.
