Our Indiana Jones topic was lost, so I thought I would bring it back here. Who saw and what did you all think of it?
Indiana Jones movies are probably my all time favorite. Just like with Metal Gear there is a good balance of reality and fantasy, all mixed with great action and humor. While there were a lot of great points in the new film, I also felt it lacked.
The Jeep scene was horrible, from start to finish. It was the stupidest scene in all Indy movies. What makes Indy crazy stunts look cool is that they happen by accident. Half the time Indy never means to do the stunt, he just kinda falls into it and it works out. The new movie over did it. I mean, driving off a cliff onto a tree?! INTENTIONALLY! No way! Had Indy did it accidentally, that would’ve worked. The alien thing was a bit much too... but I guess it’s alright given the ghosts of the first film.
Overall, not bad. But it could’ve been much better. I would rank it on par with the Temple of Doom, right behind 1 and 3. Nothing tops the 3rd one!

The movie was a horrible Indy movie. I've been an Indy fan since I was a kid, seen them all thousands of times and man was I dissapointed when I went to see this one. I mean, aliens, what the f...ck. It had a few Indy moments but seriously. Aliens =/= Indiana Jones. Also the nuke thing, lol. It had a bit of the Indy touch with that scene but yeah, what the hell. And yeah, the jeep scene was horrible.

You know, the movie could EASILY be salvaged. There are small tweaks that could make it work. But yes, it does lack that "Indy" feel.
