Well, looks like they've met the $300 mark. The sad thing about it is that their last reboot -- which took place in May -- only managed to restore their forums.
Oh, and btw, I agree with the poster about Nitroid. Man, what a wanker! And why he decided to post a picture of himself with Kojima for all to see is beyond me. He looks like the cliched, overweight fanboy who attends comic-con conventions. What, are people supposed to be envious of him now?
I also agree that their fundraising pledges are lame for a bunch of guys who are devoted to the series. If they were so dedicated to a series that they supposedly cherish, footing the bill themselves wouldn't even be a question for them. And with all the bandwidth that their site eats up, you'd think the site would amount to more than just a forum -- which is basically the meat and potatoes of TUS.

Their visitors are pathetic to donate, it isnt like they are an official site and your donating to cancer research. You paying for them to be online and post information you could get at like GameFAQS for nothing. TUS is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to site material other then posting cutouts of news from other sites. And speaking of Nitriod, his head dwarfed Kojima's. I remember him saying he had a GF... Yeah, her head is a perfect match I bet.I cant imagine how many stiches the dog needed to give birth to that head.

While I like to use a little thing called "logic" in discussions, the general attitude here comes off like a Metal Gear fanboy retirement home where everyone just lays around and yells at the younger generation about how the "good ol' days" were so much better. What's next, gonna tell MGN and TUS to get off your lawn? Oh, and btw, I agree with the poster about Nitroid. Man, what a wanker! Yeah, horrible how I would put together a picture with a character and game maker I respect. OOOOH! You really showed me there! Let me see... it's the About MGF section... The series is about Snake. Kojima made the series. I made the site. Nope... don't see any logic in that image!  Goof! So, let me ask you something. Do you feel you accomplished your mission here? Hm, well he saw no need to defend my position on the hardcore TUS users. Instead, inexplicably, he took the route of calling us nostalgic old codgers. Can't blame us for being nostalgic about Metal Gear, most fans are, but just where is the retirement home simile coming from? We just don't want to be part of a group of wannabe 'professional' Metal Gear fans who get a sense of entitlement from a website they visit because that crap is just fake and I'll stay away from that when possible.
