To all the members of TUS, (well, almost all) I would like to apologize for harsh criticisms that have been bandied about recently by myself and others of this forum. Though I cannot speak for all, I can only feel a bit of regret for having partaken in the verbal diahhreah that's been slung around. I'd like to also say that I've seen some good come out of TUS in all of this. Sure, I've seen much of the ugliness that I've associated with TUS' 'hardcore users', but I feel that now I have a different view of TUS and its member as a whole and a better picture of what goes on over there, thus being the reason for this retraction. I have changed my mind about TUS for the better in part, though I think I may always be just a bit hesitant about praising TUS too much. Thanks for showing me there are some cool people at TUS after all.

I think this thing got out of hand ones the squatch showed up. Things were said yeah, I dont plan on apologizing anything I stated. But things were put into pespective I suppose from the outcome. I dont really think there is a need to drag anything more out of this subject. I doubt very much you'd see the same thing come from the other side since they dont have anything to say that hasnt already been said. I guess good luck on all sites. This topic was never about the forum members of TUS until they made it so. Originally, it was about the "powers that be" asking for money to run a fansite. As such, I don't think any applogies are needed. Everything that was said was said in the heat of the moment and well out of the context of the original topic. And things only got out of hand when they came here and... well... argued with each other  That's the part that got me. The heat of the war wasn't even TUS vs MGF.... it was TUS members vs TUS members on MGF... Strange one. In any case, Jackyl is the voice of reason, always has been. As such, I support him in his statment. However, if (or rather when) I see another TUS collection plate, I will probably point and laugh again. Nothing personal, but I do stand by what I said about you guys (owners, not users) taking a fansite way too seriously. ;D |

In reference to that last clusterf*ck of a thread, ignore everything that "finalfantasy7" posted. He's actually a guy named Frank on our forums and likes to make up things to start problems like this. The real "ff7" is one of the site founders and has supported TUS from day one. Jackyl can verify that I'm telling the truth.
I just want to say that I understand why you have a problem with the way TUS runs things and that you're absolutely 100% entitled to believe whatever you want about us. It's your opinion, nobody else's. However, whether you believe me, agree with me, or not, we don't do anything with the aim of personal gain and the donations were necessary.
That said, I hope there are no hard feelings and I apologize for the rogue group of posters who came and shat up your forum.

Maybe you "learned" that... some of us knew that a long time ago. I honestly don't understand the fuss. I mean, it's not exactly an uncommon occurance. It happened before, it will happen again. That's what internet communities do for the most part. I think people should just treat it as a common occurance and not take is so seriously. I mean... fansites don't really matter, in the end.  |

Ryan we've had our share of differences in the past but for you to disregard everything is so like you. And WTF is with trying to blame all of this on Frank? Yes I am aware I am one of the site founders, but that does not mean I support all of the decisions made in regards to the site dude. Hell even if this was not me and is a bot or whatever what I said in the other thread still holds true. But offcourse i am not here to lecture you or bring the drama to this thread. I just think it would be a good idea for TUS members to stop parading in here defending the site from some criticism. |

Yes, be careful with how you reply in this thread - I'll be watching  ;D I'd hate to have to probate someone for a day or two. I realize others are not so quick to take back their words, and they shouldn't necessarily have to, either. As for me, I came to the idea eventually that sure, they can do what they want over there. Just because it's not the way I would do it doesn't mean it's wrong, either. So, with that in mind I'm able to look past whatever differences. |
