OK, did you guys catch that opening yesterday?!!! f...ck! That is the greatest thing I've ever seen! That opening performance blows EVERYTHING in terms of live performing arts away. The fact that all that was accomplished with people, not hydroliks... wow!

I feel bad for the performers having to spend years to perfect that sh*t. That giant ball with the acrobats on it...

Americans let the French think they were going to crush them in the 400m Men's Freestyle Relay...then snatched it away from them in the nick of time! Ahahahaha, that was great. Never thought a swimming contest would have me so excited by its end that I'd pop out of bed pumping my fist.

I pretty much only watched women's gymnastics... ;D
And swimming, of course.

Shawn Johnson was very impressive. A couple more years and she'll be just what the doctor ordered. ;D Not a fan of the really slender girl gymnasts. I like that Shawn was stocky and had really buff legs. Not bad.

These young gymnasts and competitors are already doing amazing things at age 16. Now I just feel like I haven't been doing sh*t with my life, but I guess that's just me.

I used to think that too when I was that age... That's why I started working out. I may not be able to do a backflip on a balance beam, but I can handle 50 lb dumbells with ease. LOL ;D

I can only do one set of reps with 30 pounders. I should start working out more often. I'm really out of shape.

I tell you what, I wish I worked out when I was in high school. That's one of my biggest regrets. I had the time, I could've gotten the weights... but I never stuck with it. I started working out seriously in November of 2006. My g/f started along with me and we've been doing it ever since. I was 187 lbs at that point. Right now I'm 227 lbs. I went from benching about 130 lbs to doing sets with 230 lbs. So... it's progressing.

Wow. Funny thing we Mexicans did relatively "meh" in the normal Olympics, but we seem to be pretty darn good at the "special" ones.
... I don't know what to make out of that, lol.
