I think there's a 40 and 60 GB out on the market, and I'm pretty sure the 80 GB one isn't sold anymore, right? What's the best version other than that one? I'm hitting up Craigslist right now... ;D

No. The 60 GB is the one that's no longer sold. It was the original PS3 design that included the Emotion Engine chip from the PS2 for backwards compatability. The 80 GB newer version uses emulation for that. The 40 GB is not backwards compatible at all.
If you can find the 60 GB, I suggest that one.
