Nah, I mean, because Sniper Wolf didn't stand a chance. If you have good cover, she can't shoot at you, but you can launch your Nikita, which also does more damage than the PSG-1. (I think? A.G.?) And she mostly won't notice the missile until it's too late. But it's been a while since I played it like this.

It’s been a while but I actually don’t think the Nikita does more damage. At best they do the same. But I do remember the fight taking longer if you use the Nikita.

Just looked it up. I was right, Nikita does very little damage. PSG1 all the way.

Alright. Thx. I remember there was a fun glitch with the Nikita. When you are in the truck and shoot the Nikita (whether she's there or not), you can actually "leave" the snow, The game is programmed, so the snow only covers the area around the truck. Quite funny. I loved messing around with this game when I was a kid. Recently, I booted up a safe file just before the battle against REX and did something I've always though about, but never did. I toured the entire Shadow Moses facility. Went back on foot from REX' hangar all the way back to the beginning. It's like a childhood home for me.

That reminds me of the fight with Crying Wolf in MGS4. If you hid under the truck bed somewhere in the snow field (can't remember the exact location lmfao), you were essentially invincible. She MIGHT get you a coupla times with an explosive lke Laughing Oct, but you generally remained invulnerable rofl

I toured the entire Shadow Moses facility. Went back on foot from REX' hangar all the way back to the beginning. It's like a childhood home for me. Oh yeah, I used to do that a lot. It’s amazing how much attachment we have to a game. Related personal story. I grew up in Russia and a good portion of my time there was spent with my grandparents at the summer house my grandfather built. It was simple, but a great piece of my life. In 1993 we moved to US. And even though I went back for a visit in 1997 it was still fresh. But then a decade past. Grownup life took off.... job, wife, house... In 2007 I went back there one more time. My grandfather already passed away and it ended up being the last time I saw my grandmother. But walking around that summer house... man... everything still where I remembered it just older. Some things falling apart. Paint faded. Weeds taken over. It was a very emotional visit retracing childhood footsteps. A year later I played MGS4 and we got that Act 4. Never related more to a game than that. That shot of Snake watching the security camera crumble away... I felt that just a year prior. Kojima captured that emotion ever so perfectly!

That sounds pretty intense. Very beautiful story. Thanks for sharing it. My parents also used to move a lot when I was young, though never to another continent or even another country. But my grandparents' houses were the one constant for me and changed fairly little. Last year, my grandma died fairly sudden and it was so strange to be in her apartment (she shared the house with my uncle and his family) and everything was just as she left it a couple of days earlier. It was pretty much "environmental storytelling" and you could almost step by step piece together what she was doing and planning on doing in the last days of her life. She made some changes over the years, but the apartment always kind of remained the same and was almost like a time capsule, especially since she hung a lot of photos of all of us on the walls over the years. The strange thing is, I didn't really fully realize that she was gone until I entered the apartment for the first time without her. Her not being there, giving live and warmth to the place and knowing that soon the place will change and in a way be gone forever. It's strange, how strangely alive places are.
