This is a pretty cool video I came across on Metal Gear Informer:

Basically they hack the game and see what's actually rendered. It's really fun, but might also destroy some magic.
I'm still in awe just how real this game felt (and still feels for me) despite its very limited hardware. Now that I know how much they had to trick, even more.
