Throw all that Peace Walker and Zeke and Sahelanthropus in and it just f...cks everything up. You get all this hyper advanced crap beforehand (that looks like REX) which washes away any meaning that the original Metal Gears had. Now there ain't any progression through the timeline. Now it's just "hey, let's throw this sh*t in cause this is what Metal Gear is, right?".
Precisely. Why the bloody fark are Peace Walker and Zeke more technologically advanced in 1974 than TX-55 and D in the 90's? Hell, Rex in 2005 wasn't even that mobile. Zeke was bouncing around as well as Ray and had technology to deflect missiles. How is TX-55 a revolutionary threat in 1995 when Metal Gears were bigger, faster, and more advanced in the 70's and 80's? Playing these games chronologically now lessens the significance of earlier installments.
And I don't really get why they even had Huey to begin with. I mean I get it in that it's their crappy attempt at "hey guys! Look! It's prequel Otacon!" in Peace Walker, but he has no damn business being there or being anywhere near the technological genius that he is. That crap is supposed to Madnar's gig. The dude was "The Father of Robotics". He developed a mechanical walking system, he created god damn androids, and he made "the mysterious new threat of a never before seen weapon, Metal Gear". Hell, by Metal Gear 2 he's essentially a full-fledged mad scientist that just desires to obsessively see his life's work of Metal Gear D completed.
It's like they just chopped out his role and slapped Huey into the prequels instead of making use of Madnar because Huey's a reference to Otacon. And that is just insulting to no end to me.

My guess is, Huey = Otacon's father?
