Most people probably know this already, but whilst playing through MGS3 again today, and looking through the stratagy guide for sightseeing and getting all items and just not being buggered, I noticed that in the guide, it says the guy at the end who speaks breifly to the guy who Snake didn't shake hands with is none other than Roy Campbell. I found this interesting so I am posting it here. Yup.

Hmm, he was wearing glasses there. Unless he got contacts (or surgery) I doubt that's Campbell.

Strange that we never found this out. Blacknail, can you type the exact words that are in the strategy guide, I just can't believe it! ;D

*With pride, he grabs his stratagy guide and flips to "Sightseeing with Naked Snake"
It says: "The man who talkes about FOX (Fig. 31) is Roy Campbell, who will be heavily involved in the organisation that succeeds it: FOXHOUND." I was so excited when I found this out. I feel all warm and fuzzy. It also gives a couple of theories about the grave not being The Boss' because of the date and because of the picture and because she is apparently a war criminal and such. It's an interesting read, it also has an analaysis of the Solid trilogy, un-fortunatly, no MG and MG2, just a quick re-cap at the begining of the MGS one. I wove my startagy guide, even though I was shortchanged about $15 (Looked at the recipt later) for it! Oh well...

Unbelievable, simply amazing how Hideo Kojima puts these small but still important things in his games, every time we learn something new about MGS3.
I would bet that almost nobody knew about his until now...

Who wrote that guide? IGN?
Look, that is not Roy Cambell. It's someone from the DoD. And since Paul Eiding is lending his voice talent to the game, why didn't he do the young Cambell then?

Actually, Piggyback wrote the guide. I don't know why he is credited as a different character on IMDb or a different voice actor, I don't know. The guide says it, and I belive it.

Listen, it looks nothing like Roy Campbell. It's just an assumption some jerk who wrote the unofficial guide made. Until I see something more concrete, I won't believe it. And remember, Roy Campbell was only a colonel. If he got in on the ground floor like that, don't you think he would have been a higher rank?

Chicken Fox, that was Roy's codename back in the day
(I'm glad he's gone, don't let his post let you go offtopic.)

it looks less like a mistake, and more of a shot-in-the-dark
