ADAM and EVA

If Tanya found out that Ocelot was ADAM then why would she go there first and pretend to be EVA? What purpose would that serve?

EVERYONE keeps saying ADAM and EVA were two defectors...what exactly does taht mean? Defected from what? Russia? China? Godzilla? Taco?

In this case, the defectors were from the U.S., and they defected to the Sovjet Union. Defecting is, as you probably know, when someone betrays his own country and goes over to work for another one.

And one important thing, Tanya had no idea who ADAM was. She didn't even know who the real EVA was. The only one involved in the Snake Eater Operation who knew who ADAM was were Ocelot and Snake. Snake knew it because Ocelot joked and said his name was Adamska.

I guess in Metal Gear Solid 3, the defectors were in actuality placed as moles in the Sovjet Union to give support to the U.S. if it is needed.
