I have completed the game on Normal difficulty.
My overall feelings on the game is varied.
When I first started up the game, I was hoping to really feel like i was BB. I wanted to know that what I did, really effected the future and the things that happend to Snake.
Never did I feel that feeling until the end. It all falls together. Perfectly. Revolver esatablihsing hi relationship with BB, soon to be, his sons. BB, feeling this anger towards the philosphers (AKA Patriots). From the end (call with Ocelot) he mentions that only have the money came back to the US. The other half I presume, belongs to BB.
Jack is given the title, Big Boss. EVA or Tanya or whatever you wuold like to call her (i call her EVA) mentions at the end that The Boss would be known as the biggest war criminal. Who else would later be known as that? Big Boss.
This makes me think that in many ways, Big Boss was framed. Then the idea of him trying to take down the Patriots makes way more sense to me. He was known for trying to destroy the Patriots. To the world, he would look like he was just a terrorist. He indeed was not. He was a fighting them to avenge his love, The Boss. He was then known as war crimninal, and now his own son, in his own unit, would take him down.
There are many unanswered questions though, he was giving the orders to Snake. Why? I think he did it so that he could learn the truth. learn that he was a clone. No father or anything. He wanted Snake to go on and take down the Patriots. Which we still have to see. (maybe MGS4)
Funny note: does anyone know what the Alamo is? And who Davy Crockett is? well if you do, i live in san antonio where the alamo is, and after the Virtuos mission, i went to by the alamo (not intentionally). it was weird.
Many things are still strange to me, Liquid says, while on top of RAY at the end of MGS2: Theres room for only one big boss, and one snake"
this is very alike to what The Boss said. How would he know? Could Liquid and Big Boss have met? Did Liquid no more truth then Solid Snake? There is no way to know.
In MGS3, we hear and see the maker of REX and RAY. Why wasn't the MG from MG1 shown? That's what makes me think that Big Boss, with the Shagohod specs, created his own Metal Gear, which was seen in MG1. He used some of the legacy for making it.
That's when Solid Snake was sent in to take down Big Boss own creation. Big Boss gave the orders..why? Like I said before, maybe so he could learn the truth of what happend to him. Big Boss had to die. Why?
Lets see now. The Boss had to be killed so the US could clear its name but at the same time, use that as a diversion from the real goal, which was to find out where the Legacy was and to obtain it. The Boss was used by the Philoshers, thus Big Boss' hate towards them. So Big Boss made Outer Heacen and his own Metal Gear to take on the Patriots, but why would he send his own son in to destroy Metal Gear and himself.
Maybe- Big Boss was in command of Fox-Hound, at the same time he had built Outer Heaven and his own Metal Gear so he could take out the Patriots. When Big Boss was given the orders to take out this threat, Big Boss had no choice but to send in his best Solider (Solid Snake) to take out the leader of Outer Heaven. The reason why he didn't just so say no and say that he was the leader is because there could have been Patriot spies. If no one really knew the transatactions of the Legacys money, then there would be know way of knowing that Big Boss spent the Legacy (maybe not all of it) on making his own Metal Gear and Outer heaven
To sum it all up- Big Boss made outer heave and his own MG in secret (even his own small army) to try to to take on the Patriots for using The Boss the way they did. At the same time he was in charge of Fox-Hound. since Big Boss was buliding up to take down the Patriots, Solid Snake was probably lied to and told that the leader of Outer-Heaven was out to start a war or something like that becasue the Patriots had a big role in Fox Hound and thus, someone who wanted to kill the Patriots would be deemed an enemy in EVERYONES eyes. Everyone meaning everyone who was being controlled by the Patrios (the USA).
You know what I mean? Like do you get what I am saying? I hope so.
Metal Gear Solid 3, technically speaking, was the most beautifil Metal Gear game to date. The sound was unbelievable. The graphics were amazing and everything about it was.
The story was THE best aspect of the game and it clears the fog on many issues. Kojima truly made a piece of art. He knows how to play his cards, he knew what he was diong the whole time.
Metal Gear Solid 3 shows Kojimas true genius.
That about sums up that part but I do have a question.
Why did The Boss have a Davy Crockett launcher in her hand when she and Snake were about to battle?
Someone was asking about how Big Boss got his bandana, he got it from The Boss. He grabbed it off her head on the bridge. am I the only one that thinks the Boss is sexy when her hair is down?
