Alternative Eva Theory

If you haven't noticed, I'm thinking really hard about who the real Eva is. At first, I thought it was obvious Raikov was, and I was surprised there were people reacting so strongly when I mentioned it. However, I guess some people think Raikov is Eva, as Tanya asked Snake to kill him and he is after all Volgin's lover and he looks similar to Ocelot, who was Adam.

I still - at least want to - think Raikov was Eva. I think almost everything speaks for that. It was after all my first thought. Anyhow, now when I've had the chance to think about the whole Eva thing more, I've reached another possibility.

Granin. I don't know jack about the real Granin, so of history proves me wrong, so be it. I don't mind. I haven't really thought this through; I just came up with it when I was at school. So, let me start. You know the photograph of Granin and Otacon't grandfather. That could point to two conclusion, maybe three. 1) Otacon's grandfather worked in Russia with Granin, or 2) They are really close friends and visit each other in their countries, or 3) Granin worked in America.

He knew Tanya. She had probably slept with him. She gave him shoes carrying a transmitter. I think this: Tanya knew Granin was Eva, maybe he happened to mention something in the heat of the moment, and she decided to take his role. She gave him a transmitter without he knowing it so she could track his movements and make sure he didn't do anything without her knowledge.

Am I the only one who wondered why the hell Tanya almost yelled when she learned that Snake had met with Granin? She seemed scared. Maybe, if my theory was right, her behaviour steemed from her fear of having been revealed of her true identity. She thought Granin could have told Snake about the whole thing, and she was scared because of that.

One last thing, which might be a little bit too far-fetched for the tastes of some people her. I don't know much of the bible, but if I've gotten everything right, Adam and Eve were the defition of parents. Ocelot is Adam and IF Granin is Eva, this would make sense: Granin gave Ocelot the desing of Metal Gear REX, and that, is nothing but the forbidden fruit of knowledge! That in turn make both of them "parents" to the various Metal Gear Programs!

Yes, it could make sens! Tanya was a little shocked hearing Snake had visited Granin, and when Snake said that he was drunk she got a little calmer. ;D

Oh crap, those were some pretty good ideas, TBOL! I somehow missed the part where Snake tells Eva he met up with Granin and her reaction to this. Hmmm...true, why would she put a transmitter on him? You're probably right that she wanted to know where he was at all times so that he couldn't blow her cover.

I was thinking that there was no real EVA, however. EVA was never part of the mission until she showed up in place of ADAM, whom couldn't be trusted enough by Volgin to rendezvous with the U.S. agent. (Snake). I think it's said that EVA was the only one trusted enough by Volgin to rendezvous with him. I believe she made up the name in correspondence with the ADAM moniker.

In the bible, Eve was the one who tempted ADAM into the forbidden fruit of knowledge. The serpent in the garden (the SNAKE) is considered as the first spy in history. Ocelot is Adam, no doubt. But Eve didn't tempt Adam this time. She tempted the Snake. What's going on...I don't know.
