I am reading the script for MGS2 and the ending is still getting to me. What does it mean that "they" where S3 and that there was some stuff about making an image of Raiden and how to handle stress.
I AM CONFUSED.

There's a really good MGS2 guide on Gamefaqs that explains the S3 plan for those who were baffled. I'll try and look it up soon.

They I guess referring to Solidus and the Dead Cell crew? Or they as in the Patriots? The Patriots were practicing S3 as a contextual basis upon which to filter and weed out "garbage" information and build new truths to suit their needs. Dead Cell was to sit in for Fox-Hound and Raiden was to sit in as the image of Solid Snake (the lone infiltrator). Dead Cell were used as bait to trigger an attack on Arsenal Gear, thus testing it's defenses and effectiveness. Because the Patriots knew Arsenal Gear was worthless, just as Solidus put it, a "floating coffin" or something like that, they used the data gained from Dead Cell's attack to determine the exact weaknesses of Arsenal and thus, how to avoid such a thing in the future.
Be a little more clear on the handling stress thing and what you mean by "they", Genaside. Did I answer what you're looking for?
