I really love MGS3. I was disguised as Raikov, and I walked around the fortress messing with stupid soldiers. When I saluted a guy, he saluted me back, as you know. So, I punched him in FPV. I thought I had hit the head, because he sort of looked as if he had been punched in the face. So, I tried again, but this time I hit an arm – on purpose – and he looked as if he was hit in the hand. I thought it didn’t matter where you aimed and hit, it would always produce the same motion on the soldier. But, I started to doubt that after punching him in his head and then arm. It was different motions.
I gotta say I feel sorry for the sucker who happened to be my guienna pig, but what’s done is done. So, I tried hitting him on different body parts. Before I knew it, I had an audience of suspicious soldiers standing around me. Each time the soldier I was hitting was knocked out, I kicked on him so he would wake up.
After like five minutes of experimenting with this russian dude, I though I should move from the upper body to the legs. You know what happened? Maybe you do, but it was new to me. I KNOCKED HIM ON HIS BALLS! He was knocked out in an instant. I laughed so hard tears were flodding. Being able to knock his balls for fast results was nothing I had expected.
I love this game for those things. Like, I was trapped in a room in Granin’s Research facility. Well, I had just slit a scientist’s throat, and someone heard it. I was in some sort of reception on the first floor, and I saw an enemy soldier walking past the room, heading for the door. I didn’t want to get spotted, so I prepared myself to shoot him, okay, but then I looked for another possibility. I looked at the window. I thought, no way, it’s not going to work. But hell, I’ll try. I did a roll through the freaking window! So cool!
So my point is, there’s thousands of things you can do. Maybe if I had looked in a guide or something all those things would have been written down. But, I’m not the guide user kind, so I didn’t know. So it sort of felt I discovered something new. That was a great feeling.
