WAIT! Is he Directing?! Or are you just assuming that seing how he is involved in the new Godzilla movie? But if he is, where did you read it?!
Man, you better not have gotten me all worked up for nothing dude. It would be kick-ass to have Kojima to direct a movie. Sadly if it turns out to be a Godzille movie though. I was thinking more.... um... Japanese drama?

If he would've said something like that and so exact, it would be all over the web in every available space. Video-game magazines would print up specials, talking about Kojima's retirement.
I think he just said that he and Shinkawa would be involved (hence the joke in MGS3).

I distinctly remember him talking about being the director. Besides, it's not really heavy video game news, and Metal Gear is a very overlooked and underappreciated series. People are too busy beating off to screenshots of Halo and Splinter Cell 3 to give a damn about what a genius director is up to. And usually when Shinkawa is working on something, Kojima is too, they're a good team.
