link=board=heaven&thread=1116787538&start=2#0 date=1116792342]kinda f...cked the timeline, if you ask me, we were on a clear path to the events after the Big Shell, and MGS3 quantum leaped us into 1964!
(Stay on top if it, stay ontopic.)
Yeah, the timeline went a bit crasy, I never knew that back in when MGS2 was released we could play as Big Boss in 1964. It made the timeline a lot nicer actually.
Everything went on chronicle order until MGS3, we needed that because we might not know what's going to happen in the future (MGS4) if we haven't even been in the past.

Good point Otty we needed what MGS3 gave us cause we have never really seen the whole whole story of Big Boss and it made complete sense in the story line of it all.

Well, I did read the first post, the entire thread actually. But then Gen said something about a Mike (I know now that's The Soldier), and I didn't know who Mike were. So I thought Mike was [creepy little bastard], and what [creepy little bastard] said was plain f...cking stupid.
So sorry Gen and The Soldier. my name's Trey actually, bitch. and Kojima also needed to discover his 'roots' cause of the balls reviews he got for MGS2

My my, what a thread full of flamming.
Anyways, I guess that is true Otty. I always thought that "Relive the past to survive the future" meant that if you died in MGS3, well Snake wouldnt be alive, therefore no "future" for us ;D. Thats why, you had to "survive", meaning "You gotta finish that game dude"

Hmmm.
No place to hide is the next theme.
So no more camo index stuff I assume. more action based would be fun.

because MGS2 sucked so much for a lot of people, he needed to bring back what the Metal Gear Solid 1 fans wanted, and that was what MGS3 was

No I was talking about why we should call each other by our real names.
I only need a response from Soldier not anyone else.

Hmmm. No place to hide is the next theme. So no more camo index stuff I assume. you're probably right on that one, even though i thought the camo index was great. we're probably going to get a similiar type thing but with hiding in the shadows like in manhunt.

People, people, do a research on the themes of the Solid series. You all seem to need it. When you understand the themes, you understand why MGS3 is set in the 60s with BB.

That seems a lot like what MGS2 was, there was stealth and action.
