I was wondering if the fans think the patriots should finally be discovered in the next game or should they remain this omniprescent entity for future MGS titles?

Don't we kinda already know? From what I gathered, they familied out, but that would mean The Boss should be a patriot, yet I am pretty sure she wants them whacked, prefurably by Snake.

The Patriots are not a group of human beings anymore, they're part of certain aspects of the American culture and culture in general. When the original Philosiphers pact died out, they stopped being Somone and began being Something.

How can you know that? Everyone said we would learn who The Patriots were in MGS3. We didn't. Instead we got a load of their origins. All that left us was more questions.

What I can imagine is that MGS4 will bring the dissolution of the Patriots and their identities. Games that come after that could then elaborate on what sort of infrastructure or internal power structure takes over as a result of this huge void which the Patriots formerly occuped. With the Patriots gone, maybe it will be an all-out struggle for power between various factions such as the Army, government, etc!!

Without the Patriots presence, the very fabric of society could be destroyed. Since the country will no longer be in the comort of it's totalitarian leaders, everything could crumble into bits. The States could fall into total anarchy, where only the strongest survive. It could make for some exciting sh*t to say the least.

I doubt The Patriots will ever die. They are the ones who've been ruling since the beginning of the 1900's, everything will go to hell if they go away. And yes they didn't tell us who "exactly" the Patriots are in MGS3, but does that matter? I mean, do you have to know thier names and all? Of course not, it's not like they're a bunch of people with supernatural power, they're just people with power, power to control to government. They're just like the regular government, each time new members join to take the places of the old ones. Anyways, what I wanna know is which of the original Patriots was Otacon and Snake's "biggest contributor." Now that has to be revealed in MGS4.
