i think mgs4 will partly take place in space. we've seen jungles, lakes, caves, snow capped mountains, and the middle of the ocean. This next metal gear is going to take place 5 or six years from now. i see it happening. We haven't been in space and we haven't been in a fully populated metropolitan area really so i see those to enviroments taking a larger role.

It's been 100% officially Kojima confirmed that the game will NOT take place off the surface of the Earth in any way, shape, or form. So no space.

What is Snake going to do in space? There really aren't a lot of wide open areas in a space station. Besides, I don't think space would fit in well with the overall theme. The overall theme is tactical military opertations, etc. The military basically stays out of space, save for the few Air Force officers that get to go on the rockets.

I've mentioned this in another thread that I think MGS4 will take place in a desert enviroment. Take a close look at the MGS4 teaser trailer and it looks like a big desert.

The MGS4 teaser wasn't going to give away any plot details other than Snake is the main character. Don't read so deep into it.

If u check Mr Kojima's interviews he said that the teaser trailer got more info than it actually shows. Every trailer Mr Kojima ever done it defenitly had a piece of info.

He said there were some small easter eggs to look for. He never said there were plot details to be found.

Space, hehe yah, Snake's gonna meet Jason there as well. C'mon, get realistic. When you do that, start a topic.

" no place to hid" middle of a war because of the loss of the patriots
prez.johnson
"can you imagine what would happen if they cease to function? picture a massive political vacuum, a space that every powermonger will try to feel for there own greedy ends. Im talking about an unregulated power struggle---panic, civilwar, chaos. like it or not---the patriots are an organization that must continue to exist"

True. I think, considering Metal Gear was his first real hands-on game if you know what I mean, he likes to keep it as something he can experiment with, try new themes. Each game is unique.
