desert area "no place to hide" hard to hide in the middle of a war i got this off another site thought we could talk about it over here. Looks like a giant war going on. I have a couple of theories. mgs2 Prez. johnson "politics, military, the economy---they choose it, all in the hands of the patriots." "can you imagine what would happen if they cease to function? picture a massive political vacuum, a space that every powermonger will try to feel for there own greedy ends. Im talking about an unregulated power struggle---panic, civilwar, chaos. like it or not---the patriots are an organization that must continue to exist" Raiden "so thats why u changed your mind, to avoid chaos" prez Johnson " exactly" its one of the things that prez.johnson was talking about

Well, that's a very nice picture of Metal Gear REX, but it has little if anything to do with MGS4's location.

hmm i see no reason why they would use REX again if they are going to use any existing MG they would use RAY.

MGS4's not going to be set in just one place, it will be several. According to Quinton Flynn, it's not set in one place such as "the jungle" or a "Big Shell", but several.

Remember, almost every country can make it's own MG REX, that picture BigSolidusBoss shows is a good example what would happen if they were mass produced, chaos everywhere. It could happen in the future.

It was a conversation I had with Flynn, it's not in an official interview. I can email you most of the conversation if you like.

Yeah, about three weeks ago on AIM. He hasn't signed on since, though

How did you get his AIM name? Furthermore, how did he get details so early?

It sounds crazy and unbelievable, but he got my screename from the front page of my web site! According to him, he's been sent an early, early draft of the story, but nothing very elaborate. Just general notes like what characters are going to be in it, places it is set in. No major plot details (I don't think, but he wouldn't tell me, and I wouldn't even think of asking him for them - too compromising.)
Edit: The conversations I had with him took place in 2002. I saved two of them and originally planned to do an interview with him for my site. I even wrote up questions and everything. Then, he never came back on for like...months. So I deleted his name, thinking that he'd just stopped using AIM. Then, about one month ago, I was looking through files on my comp and found the old convos again. After reading them, I copied and pasted his name from the convos back into AIM on a whim in case he ever came back and to my complete shock, he was on. That's when I had the third saved convo with him.

Cool. I've heard he doesn't mind talking to people. I mean, there's several fansites who have interviews with him. If you would want to, don't hesitate to send me the new convo. That would be great. Thanks.

Wow. You should try and schedule an interview with him. We can all submit a (reasonable, original) question and you can ask it. That would kick so much ass.
