I was recently playing Metal Gear 2 again and I saw that The Boss was being mencioned by Gray Fox! I took a screenshot: You think Kojima ment to put it in or not? I fits perfectly in the "Solid" series! ;D

Well, remember, there is no official english translation for mg2, he most likely means Big Boss (aka Naked Snake). Plus, we don't know if there is any history between The Boss (Joy) and Gray Fox, most likey, there isn't any history.

And she died before Fox ever joined with Naked Snake. If The Boss provided them with places to fight, that wouldn't make much sense because she died so long ago. I'm sure he means Big Boss.

Thre is no doubt he meant Big Boss, C'mon now.... let's not bring TBOL logic into this. Kojima had no plans for any MGS titles, yet alone a character for a 2004 game back in 1990. Let's be realistic here.

If it says the same in the official English translation in MGS3: Subsistence then I'm much more convinced Gray Fox meant The Boss.

That's [creepy little bastard] logic.
Remember with the whole Ghost Babel theory, that it was part of the main storyline... [creepy little bastard] believed that they would change TTS to make it seem that Snake and Mei Ling had allready met? When that wasn't true?

They won't alter the original games in terms of story, c'mon. The only thing I want to see different is Big Boss actually telling Snake that he is his father. The whole concept was not around in 1990. MG2 was suppose to end the series, hance a clear ending with not twists. The whole fater thing came about in MGS. I want to see them actually say it in the original game.

Ocelot: "just what i should expect from the man with the same code as the boss"
In this case a similar script "whoops" takes place but it's obvious Ocelot is talking about Liquid.

i'm pretty certain it was big boss. but if otty wished to continue this debate, he could say that perhaps naked snake told gray fox of the boss' legacy.
