I talked about this earlier sometime last year but never put the work to full fruition. I plan on writing a novelization of MG2 but with some of my own artistic creativity so that it can fit in with the Kojima timeline. The only real enigma is Big Boss' purpose in creating Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land. Most likely, his reason is because he wants to disrupt the patriots' plans.
So, I've set up a little reasoning as to why BB did what he did in MG1 and MG2.
Big Boss creates Outer Heaven and Zanzibar to cause chaos for the Patriots. However, because he
secretly creates OH, Fox-Hound is called up and Solid Snake is sent in. BB first sends in Gray Fox, a
follower of his, and then Solid Snake because he thought he would fail, the one with the inferior genes.
But it is then that BB acknowledges the possibility that SS might have what it takes to tackle the
Patriots, but he is still young. So BB confronts SS.
After OH is dismantled, BB seeks to recreate OH and takes control of Zanzibar. For if SS is a true warrior, he will come back. And his nightmares continue. Eventually, SS is able to overcome all obstacles and bring down Zanzibar Land. He confronts BB in one final showdown. BB says this is the one final test of fate, to see if SS really does have a chance to carry on the battlefield.
One major plot hole is whether or not BB knew SS was his son. Another possibility could be that BB only figured out that SS was his son, the one with the inferior genes, after he sends him into OH in MG1. so
he sees the development of SS and thinks he has a chance to stop the Patriots. He recreates ZL for SS
to do his thing once again, and so BB to pass on his legacy.
The whole whether or not BB knew SS was his son also brings up the others. The only proposal I can come up with is after the US govt finished Les Enfants Terribles, BB 'took back' his sons. Liquid was sent to Britain and looked after by Ocelot (a friend and comrade of BB after all the years), BB took SS in his own hands, and Solidus was taken in secrecy w/o BB's knowledge. If that is true, than it refutes the above possiblity that BB figured out SS was his son during the middle of MG1.
All in all, I'm hoping to rationalize BB's train of thought all the way through MG1 and MG2.
any input would be greatly appreciated.
