OK now, we'll get a big laugh out of this after the game comes out in a couple of years. In the mean time, I would like each of you to post your predictions for the plot, gameplay, and what ever else you can think of. When the game comes out, we'll see who was right. Try not to actually discuss or argue over the theories here, just put up your predictions. Then the thread will be locked and we'll bring it back when the game comes out.

I'll post mine again. ;D
Why did Kojima suddenly go out of his way? He said he wouldn't re-release Metal Gear 1 and 2. So, why is he going to throw it together with Subsistence? Well, here's why:
Big Boss is coming back, and rejoins with Snake. This will call up LOTS of memories in both Snake's and Big Boss's minds, hence there will be a lot of references to Metal Gear 1 and 2. There are a lot of Metal Gear fans, who haven't played the original two games. Hell, some don't even know you can emulate them on your computer. So, Kojima wants to make a lost story complete by re-releasing these games with most probably a new script, so that we'll be able to understand Snake's and Big Boss's jabbering in MGS4.

My theory is somewhat diffent.
I believe that the story will bring into light the Patriots of today. Big Boss is alive (say life-support or some special mech-suit) and is one of the Patriots. As The Boss was a descendant of the original Philasophers, Big Boss is one of the Patriots. And he was the one that was pulling the strings in MGS2. It would make sense to see Ocelot working for/with him given the ending of MGS3. I can't really speculate on Olga's child, as I really don't see her as a vital character. I'm sure Raiden will be in a supporting role along with Meryl. Purhaps the two of them team up with Snake for the mission. Or I can even see one of them as being one of the enemies as well. I also feel that this game will have the death of Ocelot/Liquid. Ocelot is too old now, and it will be a good time to put him out for good.
Naturally I can't speculate on the plot. That would be foolish. But those are the things I can see happening.
We know some of the cast:
Snake, Otacon, Ocelot, Raiden, Meryl, Vamp, Naomi, and Big Boss. It's fairly clear on what roles they will play in the game. I would definetly like to see Meryl as one of the enemies. That would make for a terrific, and dramatic boss fight.

I doubt Big Boss will be a character who's gonna be walking around like nothing. Like AG said, he'll probably be alive, but like a plant who cant move and all. I wanna know though why they kept him alive? Wasn't that the whole idea of the Les Enfant Terrible? To have soldiers like him once he died? Another thing I REALLY wanna know, is who Otacon and Snake's "biggest contributor" was? Remember the ending sequence between Snake and Otacon at the end of MGS2? Also, I'm thinking Ocelot will pull another backstabbing manavuer, this time on the Patriots. Why? Think back to MGS2, when right before Ames died, he said to him "You'll never escape the La-li-lu-le-lo," kinda fishy dont ya think? I wanna see how Meryl and Raiden play a part on this, and not to mention Vamp. Finally, I want to see if Naomi finally explains somehow if Snake will die from FoxDie, or not, and when.
Also,
I find this interesting, I hope more information about this is explained, like why the Patriots did that and to who else beside Raiden?
My prediction? I think Snake and gang will fail at the end to "destroy" the Patriots (if that's what they will try to do to begin with), "The Patriots is an organization that must continue to exist." It just seems impossible to bring down the bridge that;s been helping people cross the river for so many years. Anything else, I acnt think off, like AG said, it's hard and actually kinda dumb to start thinking about the plot at all where we have no information whatsoever. Just one, single picture. Just yes, " a picture's worth a thousand words" but not reasonable words, you can come up with more than a thousand words all filled with nothing with bull. Just cause BB is in there doesnt mean he's alive and he'll "team up with Snake" like some people are saying. In order to come with predictions, please take facts and evidence into consideration. That's why I barely took a look on the previous threads, cause people were coming up with the first thing that popped into their heads, and I dont wanna see this newly thread go that way too.
Lastly, I hope there's not another conversion with an AI that's so confusing like the one Raiden had with JFK, LoL. I want to understand everything easily.

I mean isn't it obvious that BB created Outer Heaven/Zanzibar in MG1 and MG2 just to cause trouble so that the Patriots DON'T succeed... after all, they had already taken the life of his mentor...

I predict that we will find out what really became of Big Boss. Also, I will go so far as to say that Solid Snake will understand more about his genetic father and the true purposes of Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land. Also, either the Patriots will be destroyed, restrained in some way so as to limit their power, or the clone brothers will be forced to accept their fate as they come to grips with how central and necessary the Patriots are and that they must ultimately exist for the greater order of the world. Maybe we will see other factions of the Patriots, their Russian and Chinese counterparts too.

I believe Big Boss will be back, and a return visit from Naomi. And I also don't mind.

A little late for the July thread I know, but I'm going to say that Raiden will redeem himself in a BIG way in the next game. Not saying what exactly that means, but his valor this time will make up for any of his wusiness in MGS2.

Well, I'm going to go ahead and lock the time capsule now. We'll look back at this when the game comes out, in a couple of years! ;D
