MGS2 comic series:

A recent IDW press release has confirmed the production of a Metal Gear Solid 2 comic series.

Coming soon from the producers of the current "Metal Gear Solid" comic series, artist Ashley Wood and writer/editor Kris Oprisko are currently working on bringing Sons of Liberty to print. The first release consists of a special sourcebook and extras issue–Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty #0. This 32-page issue is packed full of content, including an extensive character biography section, an exclusive Matt Fraction-penned 5-page story, and a sketchbook section.

Kris Oprisko says “This book is a real treat for all fans of Metal Gear Solid and Ashley Wood. We wanted to kick off the second story arc of the Metal Gear Solid saga in a big way, and this book really delivers the goods!”


First MGS4 footage:

"Solid Snake's creator, Hideo Kojima, and Pro Evolution Soccer's Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka will reveal the very first in-game footage of their latest titles in August.

The location will be the Leipzig Games Convention, running from 17 to 21 August, and Kojima is expected to use the event to reveal the latest developments of MGS 4, including the first glimpse of the PS3 game in action.

He, along with director Shinta Nojiri will also expose more details about the PSP sequel, Metal Gear Acid 2.

And while that is going on, the man known as Seabass will discuss the new and numerous changes to PES 5 and even show off the fifth episode of the football series in all its motion-captured glory.

Rest assured that we will bring you the latest news from the Leipzig Games Convention as Konami reveals more of its two big hitters.

PES5 will be available for PS2, Xbox and PC this winter
Both Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3 and Metal Gear Acid 2 for PSP are awaiting confirmed release dates"

And even though this footage would look awsome, it probably will look ten time better in the final version. Just compare the E3 2003 MGS3 trailer with the TGS 2004 MGS3 trailer. And this game, MGS4, ain't coming out untill 2007, right?

I'm proud to say that I don't own any copy of the MGS comics. I'm not paying cash for stills of TTS with filter on it.

Besides, those comics sort of sucked. When I bought the MGS3 Strategy Guide (Collectible) There was an 8 page preview of the comic. It sorta sucked and I didn't like it it.

Well, according to the artcicle, the convention will start 7 days from now, and run from 17th to the 21st. Who knows what day exactly Hideo will be releasing the footage, but Im so excited now since it's just about a week away.
