The one closeup of Snake looks like Ocelot with an eyepatch and bandanna or something - kind of weird. Definitely rockin' the Ocelot mustache. I wonder if this is official? I don't like the look of his sneaking suit that much, but the artwork is really good whoever did it.

Edit: Just noticed that CQC knife in his upraised arm. Maybe some MGS3 gameplay aspects will be used. Also, I'm getting tired of eyepatches. Is that some sort of merit of badass-ness in the Metal Gear world or what? Once you become too awesome, you're given an eyepatch to signify how tough you are...haha. What's next, Raiden with an eyepatch? Campbell with one? Oh hell, call the game Metal Gear: Eyepatches For All.

It'd be freaking funny if it's another one of Hideo's jokes and he ends up showing something different on TGS and tells us that those screens werent real. Lol

So, for now, here's a very quick rundown of what the interview said (just main points)...

He mentions that they are indeed scheduled to show a trailer soon. Then he discusses the fact that this is being created for a next generation machine and, of course, that means improvements in graphics and audio. However, that's always expected and he wants to go beyond that.

Next, he mentions the whole "from Real to Natural" thing. As I said before, he notes that in previous games, when Snake was spotted, enemy soldiers would respond with a "!" above their head. He wants to move away from that and make it possible to judge an enemies reactions based entirely upon their facial expressions and body movement. Something more "natural".

Then, there is a bit more to the natural idea. He talks about the actual warzone in which this would be taking place and how it might play out. In the original games, there were always very distinct sides. However, this is a warzone and there can be both enemies and friends within the same countries fighting as well as many other nations. It seems as if sides can change. For example, if country A and B were fighting and A is considered the enemy, it is possible that country B could end up siding with country A. Basically, the stage of battle is going to be much more complex this time.

Then he talks about "psychological warfare". In the previous games, enemies who spot Snake would just run head on and fire away like mindless drones. This isn't human nature, however. Depending on how you approach the enemies (mess with them, you could say), they will respond differently. It sounds as if you could actually frighten them or simply piss them off and their responses to you will change drastically. If they are scared, for example, their ability to fight will decrease.

Then he is asked about Raiden and simply comments that he is much cooler now and you'll see his new 'maiden voyage' at TGS.

Finally, he mentions that the best way to play previous games was to approach it as a stealth mission. You didn't want to be seen. MGS4 will allow the player much more freedom in how they approach the game.

...that's about it.

On another note, are you guys seeing something fishy here? Let me refresh your memory...

God, someone give that quote a rest already. In the scene where he mentions that, the contested object is a sword...Raiden's sword. Snake would have to be a terrible soldier to go without a knife in an instance when he needed one.

I don't know...I smell a fake. Hideo Kojima said he would never make a game like GTA, and that is what this is starting to sound like...

In the E3 artwork Snake had a beared, not just a mustache. Besides, those look like action figures... why would the do that?

Allright new info lets see.... in my opinion wich might not sound right I do not think that's Solid Snake. Who ever that might be its not him, the only resemblence is the bandana. The knife, the eye patch wich is like Solidus's, the CQC word in the Japanese texts all point to Big Boss.
