Hmm, it could be Solidus trying to pass himself off as Snake. They look so much alike they could fool just about anyone.

Now that you mention it, yeah, it could be Solidus... We never saw him die. And he only featured in one MGS game, and the other Snakes in at least two, so why not have him in MGS4 too. That would mean we have 3 Snakes again!

Alright, since this crap is 100% ligit (or, as far as we can tell, I might as well say what my friend said...
Basicly, the other Metal Gears where not powered to thier fullest. They were all test to see what could be done with them. Of course, this is common knowledge. However, since Ocelot got the METAL GEAR PROJECT Research papers before the base in MGS3 was blown to hell, he still has all the original paper. Suposidly, in this game, you fight the real things, not scaled down prototypes. Snake is sent in to destroy them once and for all, as well as to kill the Patriots. Since the Patriots are there, so is Olga's child. Raiden goes along to save him/her. Meryl's apperance is to help Snake, as well as Vamp (as for this, all I know is that he is in it). Also, Ocelot dies somewhere in it, and Liquid ends up getting a new body. Otacon goes in, of course, to help Raiden save the child, and CODEC assistance.
There is also a seperate rumor going around the Big Boss was never really killed after Zanzibar (or Outer Heaven, I can't remember which). There is also one that the Patriots brought Solidus back to life, but I personally think that a load of crap.
As for the military, they are sent in to try and stop the Metal Gears in urbun combat.

I got a feeling it's Solidus, dont ask me, I just got a gut feeling. Hideo likes it so much to trick us it's no surprise he might be trying to do it again. Plus, after Big Shell, I doubt Snake would wait till he's just about to break his hip to go into action and stop the Patriots or whatever he's gonna do.

I think the "eyepatch" is a TactMap, in devolpment by the US Army. It looks hi-tech in the one picture on the Korean site.

The new theme is "Sense" now huh? By the way, Im starting to like less this new futuristic look...it's too... un-MGS. I think we know what that lil REX robot is for. It helps Snake, it's like a camera, and Snake looks at what the robot is seeing thanks to that eyepatch. I hope the trailer shows something interesting, cause right now Im like "eh"
