But the phrase has another meaning. Based on the current situation, players may end up coming to the decision that there's no reason to hide. Explaining, Kojima touches upon an area he's discussed before, where Snake isn't necessarily facing up against a single enemy, but may find himself in the middle of a war between two countries, say country A and country B. It's possible that country C will intervene in the battle as will resistance group D. Snake, for his part, can use alliances to infiltrate the enemy, making it so that hiding isn't required.
For instance, suppose Snake wants to infiltrate country A. An easy way to do this would be to kill a member of country B and become a hero in country A. Players aren't just infiltrating a place now, they're also infiltrating the circumstances and situation, Kojima explains.
that was from an interview. i think it would be cool to have a bunch of different situations were you choose what happens how bout you guys same set out stroy or choose your own

I'm sure if it was executed well I would like it, but if it's all tacky like some other games I think we should stick with the linear aspect.

If there are to many variables then it would suck. But somthing simple like in MGS1 how you choose if meryl lives or dies would be ok.

This is similar to the jungle debate of MGS3. Everyone though it would be this huge vast junge, but in the end it was still a linear path.
Metal Gear games are really more story than game. As such, there is a destinct path that you follow. This game will be no different. And even thought it would be possible to have multiple endings as in MGS1, I think it would be a bad idea. The MG fans are very strict about the story and having multiple endings for a potentially final Kojima Metal Gear game would be devastating. We need a clear ending for this one, no loopholes or plot twists at the end. Just a "Solid" ending.

Yes I agree with AG. A homie of mine was just talking to me this morning about MGS4 and how they should have multiple plot twists as to which path you choose in the game...now it is an interesting idea but I think it would take away to much from the "solid" MG aspect, lets just keep it linear.

I'de like them to throw in a little bit of the "choose your path" thing, but just enough to get a good sense of gameplay, but keep inside the linear gmaeplay. If they don't, it's completley fine with me.
