not sure if everyone was aware of the one kojima interview, him stating that MGS4 wud be release in 2006, was a mistranslation, and the interviewer stated HE wanted it, i was informed by another site to my site because i posted the news, so like everyone had been saying, MGS4 will most likely be out by 2007  |

I really can't imagine anyone actually thinking that a Metal Gear game would come out that fast. Given the fact that they have to surpass MGS3 and they are working with a new console, there is no way MGS4 will come out before 2007.
In fact, I'm willing to bet it'll be July 2007 signifing the 20-year anniversary of the series.

well i guess it was just the progress that got so far kinda made ppl believe that, but ive been thinking it aswell, a 20th anniversary addition

They're not even sure the PS3 will come out in 06. Even if it did, MGS4 is a 07 release.

Wouldn't suprise me. Wasn't there a rumor going arond that that Sony was pushing back the PS3 release to make MGS4 a launch title?

20.07.2007 would be damn cool. (my birthday yay its always cool ) Off topic: 20.07 2007 too many 2007s  20th anniversary is what there aimming for. July 4th of 07? Making the titled come out on that date? Also the longer it takes to make the game...the better...and its mostly 3-4 years to get a good tilte out. |

The 07 release is just a rumor! I personally think its a load of sh*t.
Sony definetely wouldnt sacrifice 1 years worth of profits just to make MGS4 a major launch title.
Sony knows if it gives 360 to much of a head start people are gonna buy the 360 and not the PS3 because most people dont care what next gen console they buy as long as the graphics are good and the price is cheap people will buy it.
