Not really. He makes the games more to fulfill his own goals. Think about it, what was it that EVERYONE wanted after MGS2? Play as Snake in the Big Shell. Did we get it? NO. We got useless whoring of VR. Had they put Snake's part of the Big Shell in Substance, that would've raised the credentials of Sons of Liberty as well seeing how it would be a two-part game. That would've been a stroke of genious, a completely original idea. But Kojima droped the ball on that one. Substance could've been part two of Sons of Liberty. I know he creates the main games in his own ways, but when it comes to add-ons such as Substance he can at least try and listen a little bit more to the fans.

Is it really called Substance? Or does Substance stand for "Game with Absolutley no Change Exept with Alot of VR Missions and 2 Skating Levels That Make Snake Look Retarded"

He said that apparently AG won't allow him to be here or some mumbo jumbo and that he's leaving. It didn't have anything to do with the topic, and if he wishes to repeat whatever he wrote, he should have done so in another topic.
It just came out of the blue...whatdya mean you're leaving? It's like he's feeling oppressed by the man (AG). Oh well, he's not going to derail the post any further. Let's hope we can swing it back on track.

MGS2 pros and cons:
The Good: * Revolutionary graphics. * Amazing gameplay enhancements. * Giant leaps in AI improvements.
The Bad: * The story. And it's not the complexity of it, it's the presentation. You simply loose interest. * Useless plot twists that serve no purpose. * Not enough gameplay. In MGS2, there is actually more "watching" and less "doing", unlike in other games where is more 50/50. * Codecs over Cutscenes. If cutscenes weren't bad enough, the useless, two-people-standing-next-to-each-other codecs dominate the game. * The game fails to surpass the previos title in every way. MG2 was better than MG1 in EVERY way. MGS was better than MG2 in EVERY way. MGS3 was better than MGS2 in EVERY way. MGS2 did NOT improve on MGS1 in every way.
I don't really consider Raiden a bad thing, it's just different.
