we all know about the project and its purpose etc, just what i dont understand, why did they stick all that non sense in Liquids head, about being inferior and such, what did it accomplish, what was the point in it, i understand it made hatred toward Snake, but why did they bring him up that way, seems like why even let him live if he grown up to be a headcase, and another thing, if Snake was the inferior one, and would just be a guinea pig and weak, why not just abort him when he was still a fetus, the Snake brothers were designed to replace Big Boss, when he went into coma during battle, but why raise inferior replacents for him, unless it was a early form of S3, toward Liquid mainly, and when all were born, Snake stayed in the States, Liquid was sent to the UK, and Solidus to Asia, to many secrets still lay untold, the one who seems to thought up the idea of cloning big boss, which not alot of ppl seem to have notice, the guy with glasses and the streaked hair, looks alot like robert mcnamara who was president lyndon johnson's secretary of defense in 1964

they look pretty similar if you ask me, but anyway, i really hope more is revealed in MGS4 about the past and hidden secrets to the project, and i remember something the secretary of defense in mgs1 said, "you 2 are a embrassement from the 1970's, you are part of a system that is no more" i think that is almost a reference to the philosophers, when they changed over to the patriots, well anyway, add any input you feel fits

sumthin i just realized, big boss prolly wasnt willing to be the model for this project, since he was in a coma, so when he came to, i think, he realized that his sons would be just puppets like he was at one point, like in tselinoyarsk, so he fled the patriot run country to africa,to form a patriot free country, where soldiers were used as tools of the patriots, "father knew what type of balance was best" its like outer heaven wasnt evil at all, just misunderstood, and was a safe haven for soldiers of the world, as gray fox said " were not tools of the government, or anyone else" i think this is why he followed big boss, all the way to grave, to protect the dream that he had, and it seemed liquid wants the same thing now, like how he dubbed shadow moses as the new outer heaven, and now, he wants to to destroy the patriots single handly, well anyway, MGS4 will hav alot to answer for

I on the other hand like when some things are left unsolved. It gives me the opportunity to draw my own conclusions and all. Like with MGS2, the way it ended, it left me with a lot of questions, some I wanted answered, but alot I didnt, I just love coming up with different things that would happen in the future.

To answer Solid Boss' original questions, I'll venture to say that the Les Enfant Terrible Project set out to determine what genes are and are not. To make the ultimate soldier, a combination of genes, training and life experiences must be granted to the subject. To run a test, I think they pitted Solid and Liquid against each other in order to see if genes really mattered. So knowing that Liquid was the superior one and Solid the inferior one, they fed them incorrect information so that the test could be truly "blind". Even if Liquid was fed information about him being inferior, if his genes were truly superior (as they were), they should theoretically beat out the competition in the end. But that did not happen, because genes are not an end unto themselves - they do not fully comprise what a human is. Maybe I'm just rehashing everything that's been said already, but tell me if this makes anything more clear. I think the Les Enfant Terrible Project was just an experiment to see if genes were what made someone superior. Once Liquid and Solidus were defeated, this proved the null hypothesis to the controllers of the experiment (Patriots more than likely). And that hypothesis is that genes have little or nothing to do with how good a soldier can be.
