Here's gift! You may use this pic for any of your own projects. But it's cool one! 1987-2008... MSX2->PS->PS2->PS3 How about each of you type up your own views on how Snake has evolved through the years and systems. Then I'll combine it into one post and put up on the front page.

I'm amazed at the qaulity of the character model in MGS4. It took 20 years, but it went form a blurry pixel to photo-realism.

Why isnt there MG1? Are they both same character model?

No, but it's close enough. They were on the same system so the character model (though a different color and pose) is the same level of detail.

There's no great difference between MG and MG2 Snake. Maybe the codec portrait, but that's about it.

Besides, I only wanted one from each system.

Actually, the only REAL difference is the hiar layout, the pose (MG1's Snake it's a little bed towards, while MG2's Snake is completely straight), and a more detailed color scheme.
In short, MG1's Snake is a little bit cheaper and grittier.
Personally, I would preffer MG1 Snake on the pic, and THEN MG2 Snake. Simply because it was PART of the evolution.
Plus, n00bs will be really confused with the picture.
El Cernex
(P.S: Just noticing, but since MG1 was released for the MSX 1, shouldn't it be considered a separate console???
After all, the MSX icon in the pic clearly states "MSX2".
Of course, it's only my point of view...)

Some don't know this, but in MGS4 we finally see Snake's real hair color for once. He always had blond hair but dyed it brown, els he would be easily spotted.

Snake's look evolved just like real life humans, from a young guy to a gray hair with a cough .

I heard this long debate waaaaaay back. There is no basis for this. Snake's hair is never said to be blonde. And the briefing in MGS does NOT prove anything. It's a monotone color scheme in that scene, so his hair does look blonde by comparison to the dark background. And Snake does not color his hair, he just cuts it.
