OK, so most of us should have the game some time on Wednesday. How about some feedback on who we can count on seeing in the online realm.
I just got my PS2 online today, so I'm in. When I register online, I'll try something "Arsenal" related for a nickname.

Count me in as soon as I get my adaptor. I just got one question. How much does the online thingy cost? I know it's free, but I've heard there's some kind of connection fee. Me confused.

It's free. All you have to pay is your monthly modem bill.

That's the thing, there's hardly any stealth involved. Run and gun. Not to mention the online nerds that LIVE this sh*t day and night. I hardly ever go online to play now, don't really like it. When I do go, I set up one on one match ups. Those I enjoy. To me, the best parts of Subsistence are MG1&2, the new camera (I learned to really like it) and the Theater mode. I leave the online to the Halo crew.

The mode is pretty cool, but I have to agree with Arsenal with the lack of any real Stealth Gameplay. After a few plays I have moved to playing MG1 and MG2SS myself.
By the way, I'll probably be playing online this weekend, if anyone is interested in a 1 on 1 match. The name is Iapetus.

There's more stealth to it than any other online game that I know about. I love using the cardboard box and crawling through tunnels on occasion. Plus, if you're Sokolov in team deathmatch, you can use the stealth camo for a limited time. When you're Snake trying to steal the microfilm, you can also use stealth. But when you place 8 players on a team in a limited area, things are bound to speed up.

I played some online on my friends yesterday. Online=FUN! But seriously, everyone on the team does not need to equip the cardboard box and say, "Im inconspicuous". Or kneel down in the grass and say "I'm Solid Snaking it in the grass! Lol!"

Trust me, I don't think MGS3 was made for Online play. you have as much chances as getting a headshot as you do in SOCOM: FTB online. Trust me, it doesn't happen often.

Most people say its all Run and Gun but thats because they never come across someone that knows how to stealth very well...knife kills and CQC people w/ Mk22 pistol just to stun. Just don't give into fear...aim and shoot.
btw someone tried to compare Ghost Recon: Advance Warfighter to MGS3 Online about Stealth vs Run and Gun. I've done both and MGS3 is a lot more fun then Ghost Recon's MP action.
Side note: MGS3 Online my name is XEO SNAKE

Fact is, when you have 8 people running around, it's hard to do stealth. Sure, I've seen (and done at times) the method of hiding and taking folks out one by one, but it loose flavor fast and changes into a blast fight.
