The man doesn't break a sweat against Volgin or the Shagohod, so what nails him? A lighter and a can of hairspray!
Yes, I just finished Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake on the Subsitence disk. And LOVED! But I thought I'de come out here and make it official. Big Boss DOES NOT state that he is Snake's father in the remake. The game is kept true to the original in that respect. Also, once you beat the game once (on any difficulty setting) you unlock Boss Survival and an infinity ammo Bandanna to use on your second run. (You also get a codenam rating based on your gaming performance, like in the MGS titles).
Metal Gear 1 is next!

That's what I told Jackyl last night... Such a downer, hair spray and a lighter takes out the worlds greatest mercenary.

Is there much difference in the translation from the emulated MSX one, or was the original fan translation pretty close.

Well, the lighter and spray can were wielded by Solid Snake! Quinton Flynn told me that Snake bites the big one stepping out of the tub onto a supposedly non-slip bath mat, so go figure!

Well, he was in his 70's. Try going up to a 70 year old man with a lighter and a can of hairspray and let's see him survive that one. LoL

I finished up MG1 tonight.
I must admit, I really love the original games. And MG2, talk about the origin of everything "cool" that made the MGS titles so memorable.
It makes me wonder what would've happened had Kojima done another PSone Metal Gear game.
MG2 is a huge step up from MG1, and both are on MSX2. MGS3 is a huge step up from MGS2, both are on PS2.
I think that he could've done an even better job on the PSone had he made another game for it.

Yeah, but I think the timing was off. If MGS came out right when the PS2 came out, there would have been time for another PSOne title. But by the time production was started on Sons of Liberty, PS2 was already getting ready to go.
