So.. is it confirmed that he is DARPA Chief? I mean, I read around and sites like The Sons of Big Boss puts Sigint and DARPA Chief as the same person.
But it makes little sense.
In 2005 Donald is listed to be in his 50's. So that means that in 1964 he was between 9 and 18 years of age. That's hardly fitting since Sigint's official birthday is 11/11/1939. That makes him almost 25 in operatin Snake Eater and 66 during Shadow Moses. The Darpa Chief does not look like he is in his mid 60's. I mean, you cant just say that Sigint is the Darpa Chief because he was black and was a part of Arpa. Im sure Donald Anderson wasnt the only black person ever to be a part of Arpa, or Darpa for that matter.

I don't think he is the same person. I think Kojima loved the voice actor's portayal of both Gray Fox and DARPA Chief in MGS1 and he found characters that would comply with him in later games. Kojima has always voiced that he always wants the best voice actors (as can be seen in the development of Twin Snakes) and he wants to keep the original staff as long as it seems probable.

The voice actor for Sigint is the same as for Anderson and Fox? George Byred did the voice of Anderson and Fox. Who did the voice for Sigint?

Well we really can't go by ages told in MGS1 since their changed constantly. But I mean, they look exactly the same, and I mean he formed ARPA. And in MGS1 he is the Chief of the DARPA organization. I think it's clear he's the same man. And to me I'd say he's about 20 or so in MGS3.

OK, on the radio screen they tell his age (in MGS3). His birth is 11/11/1939 making him almost 25 in 1964. And outside of them being both black there is nothing else similar in their appearance.
Could he be the DARPA chief? Maybe. But until someone finds a spot in the game were they refer to him as Donald, it's still a theory.
I think that the whole MGS3 thing is getting fans out of hand. I mean, not everyone's origin has to be in the game. Really, what are the odds that everyone particiapated in Snake Eater.
What we get for a fact:
Boss is Ocelot's mother Sorrow is Ocelot's father Boss is Big Boss' mentor Granin knew Otacon's father Johnny's dad is shown
What some of the theries are:
Sigint is DARPA Chief EVA is Gray Fox's mother
Hey, maybe Granin was Baker's dad? Or perhaps The Fury was Fatman's dad (they got the same voice). But why stop there, I bet The End is Sniper Wolf's grandady! And what if Sokolov and Dr. Kio Marv are related?!
It's silly. I mean, DARPA Chief is a minor character, someone we actually never see alive. Why would Kojima throw in a such a vague and rather useless twist. I just don't see it...

Well, I guess I did'nt look at it from he's the DARPA chiefs father. And never really paid attention to his age. But if they are all the fathers of the Solid series. Maybe that's what the sorrow meant by "You all will be killed by your sons." Because he was'nt talking to just Big Boss when he said that.

Haha!!
But for real, someone should keep calling Sigint everytime they can and see if anything else comes up.
