As we all remember from MGS2, Solid Snake atually LOST a fight. In his one on one battle with Fortune, Snake not only was defeated, but captured at that.
Naturally, it was the defence of the Electro-Magnetic gizmo that kept her safe. But what about a fight without it? Could Snake take her then? Keep in mind, she did prove that she indeed has certain powers.

Hold up a second, maybe the Patriots where watching Fortune and had a backup power supply for her device. She saved Raiden and Solid Snake by doing that, so maybe the Patriots where watching her or something.

Well regardless he did lose I guess. But Raiden could'nt beat her either. Side note- she wants to die so bad, why could'nt she just put a gun to her head and fire? Put the barrel to you head and pull the trigger, the bullet would have no where to deflect, only enter her head. Unless the bullet would fail to fire.

The bullet would fail to fire, as did the grenade that landed by her.
Anyway, we know he lost the fight Anthony, but I don't get why he wasn't killed.
