So, you know the answer, yet you still ask?
1987-2007 is 20 years, yes.

Yeah. That would be the perfect occasion to release MGS4.

7/7/07 will be the exact date of the 20th anniversary, a mere 10 days before my 20th birthday. Huzzah.

Well, I mean, look at ANY metal gear site, EG Metal Gear Forever (its a really good site). Most of them have a MG copyright date at the bottom.

In the time you have posted and replied to the other posts in this thread, you could have easily checked yourself. So really, it would have been more fficient just to go check in the first place.

7/7/07 is the 20th anniversary? That explains the new logo. The L's look like upside sevens, and the number four kinda looks like an upside seven as well. Hideo is no doubt planning on releasing it that day. If production and everything goes well, it will be released that day for sure.

The "7" is an upside down L in the new logo...so if you add abit of a curve at the L then you get 6...."Meta6GearSo6id 4" but if you look at the 4 and get rid of the "l" and add that curve...then...omg you can see 666!! Vamp is the devil after all! I love it when people can see the little details in things like the 7 = L in the new logo for the MG's 20th birthday; 7/7/07.

So basically Kojima's using leet type to spell the logo for MGS4. What has the world come to?

It's not leet. 7|-|I5 I5 1337 (This is leet)
So "MetalGearSolid" spelled in leet would be |\/|3741634R501ID"
Get your facts straight, boyyeeeee!!

I'm not sure what's all this 7 7 stuff you talk about when the game actually came out 07/12/1987. I know that the MGS manual stated otherwise, but I have the Metal Gear Solid Nake book that came out slightly prior to MGS3. It talks about the history of the whole series. There the official release dates are listed for all the games. The MGF site reflects those dates.
